The price sheet I grabbed says "Apartamentos 'Las Torres' Guest House". It probably is better described as an apart-hotel or guest house than a hotel. It is located on the north side of Calle 13 between Avenida La Reforma and Avenida 1, right around the corner from Holiday Inn.
I stayed in three different hotels, but I only visited here and Chalet Suizo in Zone 1.
The rooms at Las Torres appeared nice and comfortable and were a low $39 US including all fees and taxes. I will likely stay here at least part of the time on my next visit. I neglected to on this visit since I was only in GC for a week and was more concerned about security, it being my first visit. The rooms do not have safes and the entrance did not appear as secure as the three hotels I stayed in.
I've heard that the Las Torres is guest-friendly, which would be a clear benefit since many of the nicer hotels are supposedly not. However, the price flyer specifically quotes the $39 price as being for a single person with additional guests at $20 per night. Long term pricing is also listed such as $375 per month for a room or $550 per month for an apartment, I'm not sure of the difference.
The flyer mentions free internet. I'm not sure if this refers to dataports in the rooms or a small business center. I did not see any computers besides the one at the reception desk.
The surrounding area is Zone 10, which is considered to be one of the nicest and safest parts of the city. Many restaurants, some ATMs, a bank, and a small mall are only a block or two away. Queens night club is a couple blocks away to the north, and Avenida La Reforma is a block to the west. On the other side of Avenida La Reforma is Zone 9, where most of the clubs are located. This is walking distance, but safety regarding walking in Zone 9 at night is debatable.
