Panama Holidays - Some Impact Mongering
For those who like to monger in Panama, here is a list of the holidays to consider when planning your trip.
Typically during major holidays...Christmas, New Years (really the entire timeframe) and Marti Gras it can be a challenge to find the chica you desire.
Other lesser holidays may not be as impacting, but something to consider...such as Martyr's Day...when Zonian American kids killed some Panamanian kids who tried to raise Panama's flag in the US controlled Panama Canal Zone. This happened 40 years ago, but some Panamanians still hold a grudge against all Americans.

With November and December approaching I thought I'd bring attention to the upcoming holidays in Panama.
I'm not sure if any of these dates have moved around a little...but take warning that most chicas (pro and non-pro) head home (usually means the Interior of Panama) during all major holidays.
Getting laid in Panama as other heavily dominated Catholic countries is sometimes difficult unless you think ahead and makes plans to be with a chica or chicas. Don't get caught by surprise...holidays typically suck for the mongerer who doesn't know this.

November tends to really suck in Panama City with traffic as well. I am traveling there at the end of November and should avoid it all. There is a window around the end of November until around December 20 that it is still fun. But then you have to wait again until after the new year, I'd say Jan 3 to be safe. My first trip to Panama was on Jan. 5 and it was great!
Hey, has anyone tried this dating site for latin countries?

I have got a few contacts from it.

Here is a worthwhile article from the Panama Guide www.panama-guide.com
If you are heading to Panama, remember that during most holidays, places where chicas normally hang-out are closed or the pickings are slim. Best to know what holidays are approaching and make plans in advance to ensure you are not sitting alone in your hotel room with nothing to do.

The Start of Holiday Season in Panama

Tomorrow, the 3rd of November, Panama starts a celebration that keeps going for about three full months. Between now and March sometimes it seems like there are more holidays than work days. The party starts with the "Day of the Child" on 1 November, the "Day of the Deceased" on 2 November, Independence Day (from Colombia) on 3 November, the "Anniversary of the First Call for Independence" on 10 November, Independence Day (from Spain) on 28 November, Mother's Day on 8 December, Christmas, New Years, Three King's Day on 6 January, Martyr's Day on 9 January, and Carnival. The "party season" ends on Ash Wednesday which happens to fall on February 21, 2007 this time around. That means that carnival will be from Friday 16 February through Tuesday, the 20th of February. And then the following month there's Holy week. In any case, that's the schedule and if you need to get anything done you should consider the holiday season in your plans. For example right now you won't be able to get anything done until at least Tuesday of next week. And, the city is getting more and more empty with every passing minute as people grab their boogie boards and head for the beach. Be careful out there because there are always a spike in traffic accidents due to the migration to and from. Have a happy Independence Day.
