When I was in Panama I was able to go to the "internet cafes" and get on line for 50 cents an hour. A pretty good deal. Most allowed me to hook up my camera's USB cable and send photos home.
They also had phone booths where I could call the US for $.06 a minute. My new novias use these to call me.
Is there anything like this in the US? I sure haven't found it. I know there are internet calling programs and maybe I should check into them.
The international cards I have found are around $10 for 20 min to Panama.
There must be a better way to call from the US.

Follow up on phone service. I did an extensive search on phone cards and could not find any for calling from Panama. They all offered deals calling to Panama. I like the internet cafe idea as well.
This also addresses a question I had about uploading photos. I want to avoid any Customs looks on my PC or camera.

I use www.viapin.com to call Panama.
Super Clean $.05 per min (800 access #) and better yet, Mega Super Clean at less than $.03 per minute, but you either need unlimited long-distance or you must live in the limited access areas (LAX, Phoenix, DFW, Houston, etc.,).
