Anybody know if there are any laws against making an amateur porno flick in Panama?

I'm curious about making a flick using a basic Sony video-recorder...pretty much as my own personal experiment "working with hired talent" to produce something worthwhile to teach myself and gain some experience.

I am thinking of finding a chica and a young Panamanian dude who have never, but are willing to make a porno-flick together. I figure most young guys will fuck a good looking chica for (nearly) free. The chica I figure will do a video for maybe $100 if I negotiate properly...given she has never done porn before. I'll explain that the tape will be their porno screen-test for me...so to speak.

If they cooperate with me and do a good job...we may do more business later when I try to make a higher quality film...their opportunity to become stars.

So, I fly to Panama with my video recorder and an idea for a script...I visit a few massage joints...talk to and select the chica(s)...maybe even have them select the guy (if they have a boyfriend or someone that they are willing to have sex with on camera). I strike a reasonable cash deal...I cover the cost of the hotel room and pay them half up front, the other half when complete. (Maybe I video tape them declaring that they are consenting adults, they grant me unlimited rights to their image, and they declare me not responsible for their actions...something along those lines).

When done...they go their way with some cash in their pockets, and I go my way with the amateur porn screen-shot and some valuable experience.

Please tell me where I am going to get into trouble with this lewd and lascivious idea?

If you payoff someone, anything is possible.

Having been involved in the Porno industry for awhile (in production not an actor), the best place for filming is in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Holland or Czech Republic.

You can film in most Central and South American countries but keep it simple and very discreet.

Several have been filmed in Costa Rica and in Brazil. Brazil is cracking down on not only filming but I've heard prostitution (gulp!) in beach areas. I have not been in Brazil for a bit so that may not actually be the case.

Your best bet is to get a chica you like and ask her to fuck your friend while you film it. You get her to sign a release and get the tape out of Panama quick.

Now here comes the problem. If you bring it to the US and Customs views it, you're fucked. Get it onto your PC and erase the tape asap.

Things change all the time in this area. The best Porn comes from LA and SF because there are well documented laws on what is legal and what is not. The Porn industry is well developed in those areas. Its not everywhere else.

Is carrying a porno videotape through US Customs really illegal?

I think if I were to make a video I would do it digitally, then transmit it to a server in the states. That way when I travel I would have nothing for customs or anyone to look at.

Yet, I cannot imagine customs wanting to view any videotapes or digital recorded media of any sort.

I'm curious...has anyone on this board ever had a US or foreign customs official ask to look at any pictures, videotape or digital media of any kind...including to look at what you have saved on your laptop's hard-drive?

Yet, maybe Homeland Security might look at it and figure-out a way to say that you are somehow threatening US security....maybe no ugly chics would be a good law.
