I had heard that it was a good idea to import talent to the Coast when in Costa Rica. And that may be true for Quepos but is unneccessary in Jaco, at least it was last March at the Beatle Bar. Large variety of women, similar to the talent and numbers at the Blue Marlin, and like the Blue Marlin they started at $100 but quickly went down to $50. Be careful, there are also alot of gringo chicks who would probably be offended if you began negotiations with them. Its an open air bar w/ plenty of ceiling fans (Jaco can be hot and humid) and Ice cold Imperials. We were there on a Saturday night.

about 9pm, 25 to 30 ho's start coming to this bar. usually, you approach the ones you like. prices are $50-100. they go to your room, occasionally theirs. sometimes you can develop steadies and freebies. the girls are from c.r., dom. rep., columbia, nicauragua. some attitudes most very friendly. girls rate 4-9. quality of sex is from super to poor. trial and error. have been with at least 25. bar very cooperative. drinks $1 to $3. good food, cheap. all usa sports on dish tv. you will meet a lot of usa guys with similar interests. the bar and town are very safe.

The Beatle Bar is incredible. It puts on a pretence of being a straight beach bar but then turns a blind eye when 40 or 50 hookers show up at 9PM. The hotel situation in Jaco adjacent to the bar is hit and miss.

Visited the Beatle Bar (BB) in Jaco, Costa Rica in mid April. The BB is located near the north end of the one main street in Jaco. Note for an American it is VERY hot in Jaco.
The BB is an open air bar (read hot) with a big rectangular bar in the middle. There are tables and places to hang out on both sides of the bar and in the back. There is a small bar in the back and a pool room with a couple of tables. Plus two big screen TVs in the back. Beer gets warm at a record pace in Jaco and there isn't much you can do about it. A foam can holder will help a bit (better on cans) but not much. I sit at a table and have a few beers and every now and then the waitress comes over and mops up my table of all the water running off the outside of my beer bottles.
I arrived early (7 pm) and watched some sports on the big screens. By around 9 pm, on this Saturday night, the place was getting pretty full. There were lots of chicas. Most were asking for the typical "cien" but settling for much less. The chicas seem less agressive than at the Blue Marlin (BM) in San Jose. While there is a good selection of girls here the ratio isn't as good as the BM. So if you see something you like IMO go and try and get her now. This night I have the misfortune of picking up a Colombian that wants to be paid first when we reach my hotel. I had to send her away.
Was also at the BB several week nights. Much smaller crowd but still lots of nice chicas. On Sunday night I took a Nicaraguan back to the hotel for an all nighter. And the next night had a very cute Nica for a shorter session.
I needed a beach trip and Jaco and the BB were a lot of fun.

How long does it take to get to Jaco from SJ?
By Valterreekian on Tuesday, June 07, 2005 - 08:17 am: Edit |
A little over an hour and a half depending on the route you select and the weather/traffic conditions.
If you are driving though, be very careful. Many a tourist have gone over a cliffs edge on Hwy 1. There are not proper warning signs and gaurdrails in CR like you see in wealthier countries (although it is getting much better).

I am planning a trip to Jaco and staying at the Vista Guapa surf camp. Does anybody know how far is it from the beatle bar?

I went to Jaco last summer and the place to be is the Beatle bar, a lot of girls must of the 6-7 but there were some 8-9's. I recommend this place. Also I recomment to take a cab from SJ it will cost between $60 - $70 usd.

Beattle Bar is were its all at. The hotest chicas on the coast. And for more timid mongers...alot less intence then say the delray. A very laid back enviroment. I got one out for $70 the whole night but i took her late. Then another night i had a chica from educador..absolute 10! had to cough up the cien ($100) note.

I'm thinking of staying at Los Suenos in Heradura. Do the ticas at the beatle bar have there own rooms or are there rooms available near by for cheap? Not sure I can take them back to my hotel or would want to. I would like to party there or very close by, anybody know?

Just came back from a trip to CR and to Jaco Beach. I haven't been to Jaco in about 3 years. The place has at least tripled in size. From what I understand, the the Beatle Bar recently changed hands and is under relatively new ownership. It was given a face lift. Drinks are now expensive. Ticas asking (and getting)$100/hour.

That is overpaying and will not help the gringos situation. Everyone needs to barter to a better price. If we all insist on a better price we will get it. Sure someone may have your tongue on the floor and if thats the case pay the cien. But in general lets not ruin it for the future when we all want to sample the elusive peach fish of CR.

Planning a trip to Jaco in August with my brother. Anybody got any recommendations on where to stay. Want to be close to the Beatle Bar with a chica-friendly hotel but prefer something on the higher end and don't mind paying. Prefer a two-room suite. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hornet!!
I am also going to be there in may ...May 9th. I have stayed at a lot of places in Jaco and the best are the new daystarproperties. They have 3 properties along jaco that are all beachfront"La Paloma Blanca Bahia Azul and the Bahia Encantada Stay at the Bahia Encantada I stayed there in November. It is a 4star hotel right on the beach and is 3 blocks from the beetle bar. I too know how important it is to have a room close to the beetle. These rooms are about $235 to $400 a night but are well worth it. What dates will you be there?

Oh Sorry bro I don't know why I thought May.

Thanks for the recommendations. Are all of those places chica-friendly? It seems like normally when you get to places that expensive, they don't like to allow you to bring back ladies to the room. Can you send me links to webistes for those hotels?

This may be about a year late, but I just spent 2 weeks in Jaco and stayed at Cielo Azul, a private apartment/condo facility. Its about 5-6 blocks from the Beatle, but located in the heart of the town, 100 yards from the water. 500 Colones or about 90 cent cab ride to the Beatle.
If you want to act and feel like you own the town, then this is the place to stay. Have your chicas over for an afternoon BBQ by the pool. Only 5 units available, but they are all first class. www.cieloazuljaco.com
More on my trip in the next few days.

quote:The action was at the Beatle Bar, but it wasn't opening to 6pm. I had some time to kill, so I walked around and got some food. I also did some research for some daytime activities for Monday. I found a great ATV tour.
Later that night I returned to the Beatle Bar. Cover was 3k colones. The lighting in this place was very dim, I'm never a fan of that. A cutie named Natalia tried to talk me into a date but she was a little heavy so I held off. It was a good thing I did because the gorgeous Carolina appeared soon after that. I took her next door for $100 USD. The hotel was $20 USD. I had to pay an extra $5 for condoms because I didn't have any.
