From my past visits and friends in the area I knew of motels where you could get a suite for half a night, clean with large bed, separate living room with couch, and a hot tub in the room for about $14 and of course $28 if you wanted to spend the night. Hotel Doral on the way to Puerto La Libertad is an example of one of these and the one I ended up at with Tatiana.
