I'm taking a trip to CR and will be staying at the San Jose marriott. Need to know:
1. how close this is to the action - distance and dollar wise.

2. Does it make sense to setup at Marriott and stick and move at some of the other cheaper hotels I've read about (I have reasons for staying at the Marriott)?

3. Does it make sense to taxi back and forth from the Marriott to the center of the action? Also, is Marriott girl friendly?

4. Are any of the parlors close to Marriott? 4. And bottom line, where might I find the largest/best selection?

5. Is room service the way to go with limited days visit?

6. What are some suggestions for spots to hit. I know this information is in the site but I'm trying to get the most recent info.

Any comments, opinions suggestions on escort services? I've heard a lot of conflicting ino on CR so the more info the better. Looking to get there in the next 2 weeks.

Why are you staying at the Marriott instead of one of the downtown hotels? Why spend your time an $$ for taxis?

Well the trip into downtown area is an exploratory trip for future purposes. The reason for the Marriott home base is to throw off a sonar and radar equiped bloodhound.
