Facilities are nothing fancy, but this hotel is a good deal at $25 for at least the first night when taking the free airport pickup into consideration.
Free internet use is offered on two desktop computers located in the lobby.
There was some kind of sign stating that late-night guests were prohibited, but I read elsewhere that it wasn't a problem. I didn't attempt to bring any ladies into my room the one night I stayed so I can't confirm either way.

Now if you want the free airprort pickup in their shuttle van you need to spend a minimum of 2 nites at the hotel. Single room was $25, included tax, continental breakfast, wifi.

Stayed over this hotel for one night on Saturday. The photos from Alecjamer are exactly showing the way it is. Great for us who just need the essentials. I didn't notice any cockroaches during my stay. There are plenty of cable channels to view. However, I didn't find any adult only channels. Perhaps it's broadcasted only late night. I didn't inquire.
The airport shuttle is free one way (inbound) and I tipped the driver $5. The return trip is $30 which is supposedly the same as the taxi fare. Your ride to and from the airport is about 25 minutes (about 15 miles). The driver took the freeway and he had to pay about 2 tolls. I can't remember the cost of each toll stop but it's about $1.30 to $2.
I brought my laptop and there is free WiFi throughout the hotel. You just have to ask for the password for access. The restaurant is decent but no one else was eating dinner when I dined. I ordered chicken with pasta and behold the serving was monstruous for about $5. Iced tea costs about $1.50. I somehow managed to eat all of it since it was delicious. Feeling full, I decided to take a walk, a long one I might add. After 17 blocks I finally arrived at the mall where the Hard Rock Cafe was. Unfortunately, there weren't any single chics there at 7pm. In fact, the mall was rather empty for a Saturday. Unlike the packed malls in Bogota, there was certainly a chica shortage here. I don't know why. Anyway, you can read about my night under La Bodeguita (nightclub).
By the way, I paid $30 for a queen size bed for 2 people. I asked if I had the right to bring various chics with in and out privileges. There was no problem with the receptionist. Obviously, foreigners are known for such extra curricular activities! Heh-heh! Also, the receptionists that worked there didn't appeal to me. I was hoping to see some slender bodies but that wasn't the case.
Any other questions about the hotel, just ask.
:-)

By Leadimiro González C. for El Siglo - Minors and adults robbed a tourist but they were caught. A Venezuelan tourist and a hotel receptionist lived through a great scare at dawn on Tuesday when six armed suspects entered the Hotel Marparaíso, located on Calle 34 and Justo Arosemena and escaped after having stolen $2,000 in cash. The thieves struck the tourist with the butt of the revolver in the head and took $1,941 dollars in cash, two cell phones, 457 Venezuelan Bolivars, and several important documents. From the hotel receptionist they took $60 dollars in cash, and from the driver of the hotel van they took a cellular phone and a check that had been written to him before fleeing the area in a gray Nissan Sentra. They were spotted near the Santo Tomas hospital by a patrol from the Diplomatic Protection Corps and a gunfight erupted. They were chased until, in Cabo Verde they crashed their car into a garbage bin. Four of the thugs were arrested. The other two were arrested near the buildings of the Mayorship of Panama City in Calle Q. The names of the thieves are Héctor Rodriguez, 34 years old, Victor Murillo 19 years old, two 16 year old minor, one 17 year old minor, and another 14 year old minor.
