Does anyone know if either Zona Blue or the Sportsman's Lodge exchange currency and if so, are the rates decent?

neither location is a recommended place to exchange money.
both will make change for purchase but the rate is not good. They will accept $USD for payment.
The ATM is your best bet anytime.
There are two ATMs on th corner where Hotel CostaRica Morazon is located. Not to mention ATMs throughout all areas.

The problem with paying in dollars is that all the prices are based on Colone prices, so paying in dollars does not get you around the crappy exchange rate as you just pay more in dollars.

I prefer to know how much I am losing in the exchange rather than having to figure it out each time I spend money...
