A new law just went into effect 04-24-08 and you are no longer allowed to smoke in bars, restarants, casinos or any other public place. You must go outside and will see folks hanging outside of these places smoking. The only convenient place I found this week where you can still smoke and meet chicas is Habanos while sitting out on the terrace in front. Imagine a cigar bar that you can no longer smoke in, freaking crazy! Manolos also has outdoor tables, but I didn't see anybody smoking there. Let's see how long this lasts as it always hurts the bars and restaruants and causes a backlash.

Yeah, what the fuck is happening to Panama? Used to be great...no rules...kind of like the wild West of years past.
A pack of cigarettes cost only $1.50 in most bars in Panama. Although I am not an avid smoker, I would always buy a pack and set them on the bar or table where I was drinking. Inevitably, women would approach me using the excuse to bum a cigarette...cigarettes were a great way to meet chics and an ice-breaker excuse to engage in polite conversation.
