I am planning my first trip to Panama and would like some advice on the best days to book a flight. What are the busiest days (weekends?), what are the least traveled days? I am flying Copa from Miami.

MIA-PTY is such a cheap under 3 hour direct route on COPA and American. Differences in price depending on days does not look to be much.
Run it through Orbitz with flexible dates +/- 3 days and click non-stops only. Ignore the 'only in US and Canada' on flexible dates as that limitation seems to outdated. American also has flexible dates for a broad search and direct prices through American almost always $20 or so lower than the mega-sites. I see COPA has a fare sale MIA-PTY that ends 10-27, but it does not look like a huge savings anyhow.
Personally, I think you are such a fortunate bastard being able to fly out of Miami. So many easy trips to be had being able to sleep in on flight out day, arrive at destination long before dark, leisurely check in and clean up, eat dinner on a normal schedule, and enjoy a non-jet lagged first night.
Happy travels.

So if the $61 R/T "promo" fare from SJO-PTY has $132 in taxes, and the $132 non-promo fare only has $61 in taxes...
Why am I not being told to simply pay $193 for the trip?
