There is a higher-class brothel on the south end of Quepos
called Itzamana, which is run by a tall Somalian lady named Victoria.
Victoria always has a variety of girls from throughout Central America
whom are well-versed in the sex trade profession. All of her girls
receive massage lessons, and must learn basic English. This area is a
great place to visit whether you wish to patronize the pros or try
your luck on the beaches or in the disco's and bars. Take along a
bi-sexual lady for a truly memorable adventure.

When you walk up to it, it is a bit strange, almost vacant. But continue to walk in the entrance and you will be greated by the madam who will simply nod her head at you. At that point, turn right and walk back to the disco area, you'll see the lights. There may be a few locals or gringo's around the bar (drinks are a bit expensive) and several women from different Central America countries lounging in chairs or at the bar. Very very casual. You can get a $20 dance in a private room off the bar, actually it's a bathroom, kind of disgusting. But it's a great way to preview the women. After a few dances with the girls, you can choose one and head to their private bedrooms on the premisis. Cost is a bit more than San Jose; less competition. Last time I visited in February 2002 it was $125. Well worth the price, there are some definete honey's there. Good luck!

Victoria opened a new place called Layla's in
Quepos. Has been open since last summer.
Brand new building and also new housing for the
girls. If I remember right is kind of expensive
$125 for the girl and room for one hour. Pretty
much the only game in town though. Rooms are real nice as are the girls. The strip club part
is very modern and was really no hard sell, at
least when I was there. Went with a girl named
Pantera (Panther). I don't know if she is still
there as last I heard from her she was working
in Cabo San Lucas, but if she is back at Layla's
she was really a monster fuck. Layla's is definitely worth looking into if you happen to be in Quepos.

I was in Quepos a few months back, at the time, Layla's was closed (driver didn't know why, but said it was only temporary). Itzamana was the same as ever 12-15 girls (midweek) each starting at $150 for an hour. Good strip shows, lots of pressure to go to the rooms, I'd rather spend the money & bring a girl from SJO, but this is a good "plan B"

Quepos is a tourist town through and through. Although I dearly love to take a gal for a getaway to Si Como No, just south of town, it is very expensive.

Oh, the coffee at Cafe' Milagro is awesome though, and the food at El Gran Escape is quite good.

Just don't shop here. There is nothing here you cannot get elswhere for 1/2 the price.

I had a gal in a "boutique" there try to sell me a small CocoBolo bowl for $90 US, undeer the premise it was an extinct wood. I pointed out that I had 400 barras of it sitting in my yard in Puriscal. She then attempted to convince me it was made by a world renouned artist.

Who? I asked. His name is Manuel, she said......

Oh, trivia time! Did you all know that the gentleman in all the Colombian coffee commercials made by Folgers is actually from the outskirts of Quepos? His name really is Juan Valdez, though. I met him a couple of years ago. He thought the whole commercial was stupid, and did not like promoting Colombian coffee over Costa Rican, but they paid him well. He also has never grown coffee for a living in his life. He is a mechanic.....sheesh.

How are things these days? My girlfriend and I are thinking about a visit and she loves the ladies. Would this be a good place to have an adventure? What hotel would you suggest?

I went last April Clubs Itzamana and Lela are good if you have the money the women will love you and your girlfriend...there is also a new one on the mountain but I do not know the name because we didn't go there...Quepos is fun and the people are real freindly so ask what the new hot place is....
