Gringo Café
I can't vouch for this new place, as I haven't eaten there yet. They claim to serve American diner and cafe-style food, including American breakfasts. I know there are guys that go to Rio who are always on the lookout for a good breakfast. Be warned--they appear to serve "maple-flavored" syrup rather than the real thing, so BYOS
The place is located in Ipanema, on R. Barão da Torre, 240, just up the street from Satyricon and Porcão.

I ate there once and it was pretty good. Had French toast, etc. To get there, coming from the Garota de Ipanema restaurant (as the easiest reference point for most) walk away from the beach on Vinicius De Moraes, cross Visconde, to R. Barão da Torre - there make a right and it is right across the street a little right at the corner of Vinicius De Moraes and R. Barão da Torre
What about the the other condiments, specifically the ketchup? I heard somewhere that it was a good idea to travel with your own ketchup...
You've been talking with Catocony, no doubt. 'fraid I can't answer this one.

I would have thought a classy guy like Copa would be more of a Grey Poupon connoisseur.
