So where is the best place to exchange money?

What about when you 1st get there and may just need the equivalent of $150 for the night?

If you are coming in the PM your best bet is to withdraw some pesos at any ATM. These will always consistently give you by far the best rate. In the AM the safest bet is the one at Oviedo Mall in the entrance parking lot next to El Coral. Its safe and the guy is nice and speaks English. The Exchange rate will also not be the worse but no fee ATM is always the way to go in MDE.

Uni Centro Mall in Laurelas has a few places located on the second floor.
