Just have a lot of money with you that you don't care parting with. Many of the places in Buenos Aires are clip joints, not surprising since they are run by Argentineans (most particularly Portenos, who I'm guessing are the worst). And those clubs that most consider legitimate, still have that "clip joint" feel to them.

By the way, Jackson's maps may be out of date. For example, Excedra closed sometime ago if memory serves me right (then again it may have re-opened, who knows, or maybe I'm thinking of another place).

As to Mendoza there is not much there P4P-wise, although I remember one club, probably Red Club, and some sub-standard casa/brothels.

By the way, if you decide to go on a serious wine-tasting tour, don't buy one of the cheap Charlie tours as they generally take you to wineries that seem to exist largely (only?) as places to sell low-quality wine on-site to tourists. There was one company (unfortunately, I can't remember its name) that charged considerably more than the others but brought you to legitimate and high-quality wineries. I believe they had maybe three areas you could choose to go on your tour (and the tours included gourmet lunches at the wineries, high quality selection of wines, and so forth). If interested, you might want to ask around. The tour I went on actually required a trip (in a mini-van) about 1 1/2 hours outside the city.

But, as I've said many times before, if you are in Argentina and want to find some good P4P pussy, your best bet is to get on an airplane headed for Brazil. And keep in mind that although the Argentinean peso is very weak, to at least a reasonable extent prices seem to be based more on the dollar equivalent so the weak peso is not so helpful in keeping costs down.
