How much time between K1 interview and the Visa being issued?
Sorry if this has been covered already, I tried finding the info on the board but I couldnt locate it.
I was hoping the board could answer this one for me. About how long is the time period between the K1 Fiance interview at the embassy and the Issuance of the Visa? Is the visa issued right then at the interview or does it take a couple of months before she gets the visa?
The web board at http://www.visajourney.com/forums/ should be an invaluable source of relevant, up to date discussion on that topic. CH is a valuable resource for information to help AVOID that particular problem.

They tell you nothing at the embassy interview except good luck.
I cannot remember exact time after interview til Visa issued in my case (US Embassy in Bangkok), but it was not much more than a month.
BTW
Listen to sancho. Biggest mistake I ever made in my life!

I just hope no one saw that and had a heart attack.
And by the way, good artwork!
Actually, once they get their green card, the troubles usually end since they're out the door ASAP. It's the couple of years between the time they pop out of international arrivals and the time the green card arrives in the mail that's the problem.
I think you guys misundertood the motive behind my question. I have no intentions of bringing a GDP to the states on a K1 visa. In fact, my favorite GDP is going for her interview next month and I want to make sure I get a chance to see her again before she comes to America.
Thats why I am trying to find out how long the time period is between her interview and when her fiance can buy her plane ticket to Miami.
