The following TripReport snippet is taken from 2004/05 Laguy's Sao Paulo Ins And Outs

It is too bad that some places would rather ream you in the short term rather than develop customer loyalty. This is such a place. I have had four sessions there (including one repeat) and have also checked out the place maybe three other times without taking a session. Depending on the time of day and the day of the week, there can be anywhere from three to about fifteen or twenty garotas in this place, with some in the pretty good category, and others in the "get away from me" category. One of the garotas managed to get me off twice in a 30-minute session (truly rare for me) while another came close. Such dedication to their chosen field of work is impressive, and, indeed, I haven't had a bad session here, although I have only experienced three of their garotas. The problem is there is a bartender (who appears to be gay; I only include this to help others identify who he is) who will pressure the hell out of you to buy ladies drinks at R$25 per, both before and after your session. Also, they sometimes add a service charge of 10 percent on the entire bill including room charge, but not always, suggesting they may be targeting gringos with this extra charge (some of the other places have done this to me without revealing they were going to; other places do not). I should add I don't remember whether or not they have a sign indicating a service charge will be added, but I suspect they do not. As a result of their money grubbiness and pressure tactics, this place is now low on my list.

Notwithstanding my comments above, I decided to give this place another try. When I went in I said that if the bar tender guy (I described him as gay, above; I noticed this time he is also rather fat, in contrast to the other bar-tenders who work here) started trying to over hustle me on the drinks I would leave.

Anyway, one of the garotas who I had a good session with a while back showed up around midnight. Before she showed up there were only about five or six garotas at the place. I had a good session with her (I must be getting domesticated or something, with all these repeat sessions--albeit in this case three months apart), and then went downstairs to find the place had filled up with garotas, many of whom were not bad. So, whereas there were about five garotas at midnight (on a Saturday night) there were perhaps 20 at 1 a.m. Whether this place always gets going after midnight, I can't say; but on this Saturday it certainly did.

I still don't like the way they hustle drinks, but I managed to avoid the problem on this visit. May be worth checking the place out, although as before watch out for the pressure tactics.

Hunterman and I visited fairly late last Sunday night. There was alot of activity and a reasonable number of lookers for a Rua Augusta place. I had a session with an enthusiastic spinner, and while she tried to get me to buy her a drink with the session (which would have cost around R$25), the fact I didn't did not detract from her performance (note it is one thing to refuse to buy a drink when you spend 30 minutes or so with the garota before the session, but in this case we were in the room within five minutes of saying hello). The session cost R$50 for 1/2 hour, and she was "photo-friendly." The room was an additional R$20, or thereabouts. I didn't ask whether she would do anal. Typically, I have found on Rua Augusta they want an extra R$30 for this service, if they offer it. Although I didn't buy her a drink, knowing the hustle that sometimes occurs at this place (obviously directed by the management), I gave her a R$10 tip at the end, telling her I was doing that in lieu of buying a drink for her. She was happy with this.

Not a bad late night place, but as before don't get sucked in by the drink hustle, which can be more intense here than at other places. On a related note, the standard price without anal at the Rua Augusta places is R$50, and while I never have tried to negotiate this figure down (it just doesn't seem worth the effort), I have heard some of the Brasileiros do although I don't know how often this happens.

Well, my opinion of this place has been changing for the better. The bartender who used to heavily hustle ladies drinks no longer works there, and management seems to be better. While some of the girls still try to get you to buy a ladies drink, I have had no trouble simply telling them the ladies drinks are too expensive, and they generally simply shrug and don't have a problem with it.

I visited tonight, and had a great session with Madona, who used to work at Love Night Boite in Pinheiros. Probably the most picture (and video) friendly garota I have encountered. The cost for 30 to 40 minutes was R$50 plus R$22 for one of the so-called suites (reg rooms are R$17). The suites aren't too bad though although some of the regular rooms are.

I think I have finally figured out that this place doesn't get going until around 12:30 a.m. or a few minutes later. Tonight there were slim pickings around midnight, but at 12:30 about 10 garotas came streaming in. This has happened on other days as well, although as best as I can remember we are talking about Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays; I don't know the best hours on other days.

Like most places on Rua Augusta, the garotas vary greatly from downright ugly to reasonably attractive, and sometimes better. In the downright ugly category there was a garota (presumably) who looked like a slightly (but ever so slightly) slimmed down version of Divine. I couldn't believe that one of the men there allowed her to do an extended lap dance with him (at these places, the lap dances are freebies, part of the attempt to get you to do a session).

As to Madona, I have to say I haven't seen a better body, particularly nice breasts and bunda. She also has a reasonably attractive face that would be enhanced, however, by some dental work (but I'm not talking about anything like missing teeth, just a couple that are a bit out of kilter (sp?)).

So I now put this place on the recommend list for late-night, budget-priced fun.

Also, I have found most of the Rua Augusta places that attempt to charge a R$10 cover for entrance, which includes two beers, will accept R$5 for a one beer cover (the present bar included). Not a big deal if you plan on only visiting one place, but with all the bars/clubs along Rua Augusta, the cover charges can add up (and do you really want to drink 2 beers, or agua minerals at each one?)

Incidentally, when I was walking back to my hotel around 1:20 a.m., I saw around 15 streetwalkers along the 1200 block of Rua Augusta. While I wouldn't partake in night-time activities with streetwalkers in Sao Paulo (too dangerous for me, and there are much safer alternatives throughout the city) I don't mind looking as I pass by. While Rua Augusta is a streetwalker locale, this is the most I have seen in one place there.

After we were done I headed back downstairs for my second prepaid beer. By now things had picked up a bit, both in the number of girls and guy customers. By some luck, after another 40 minutes or so I spotted my tall girl from the dressing room. I finally caught her eye, she was very kind and sweet, which surprised me since she was so hot. At US clubs the hottest girls always have attitude, I didn't experience this in Brazil. We settled on the same price, 100Rs for 40 min. The service was a bit more mechanical than with Ane but she was so hot. Again, I prefer everything be covered but she provided a very passable covered BJ, light french kissing, and multiple positions. Didn't ask about anal.

Overall my first night at Casarão was a lot of fun, for not that much cash...

I checked this place out on Friday night. Apparently, it does not open until 11 pm. There were probably about 30 girls. Some were probably doable but not quite my type. I can't remember the entry or beer charges. I will return.

They open at 11pm. You can pay $20 for 1 drink or $30 for 3 drinks. There were girls at 11 but more come in as the night progress. They are remodeling the outside. Don't have room rate. Hear the girls are asking $250! Left a little after midnight.

Little more info on this place. The girls are asking $200 for held hour and $300 for one hour. The room is $35R for hour. There were only couple of good looking girls in the place. There were many older and not good looking garotas. Don't know what they were asking for program.
