Day 1 of my first time in Quito, and I am somewhat lost. I am staying in Gringolandia, on Juan Leon Mera. I am hopelessly confused by the street numbering system. I picked up a flyer from a street tout showing a place on Joaquin Pinto 526 y Ave Amazonas. When I looked the area over, addersses were like 142N24a , the street corner sign was
E4-287. Any help decoding would be appreciated. Also, if any vets are around, I could use a bit of a brief.
thanks
Sandy

It's kind of last minute to be asking for help, you should have that ready in advance since the tools are here, but here's some info.
At first I thought you received a flyer for Vibracion, but I see that's one street up on Wilson. I never heard of a place at that address, I doubt it is any good.
I was asked for and submitted some map information which appears to be located under the Venues link. you can view the map by clicking on the little icons next to the addresses.
Some quick recommendations since you're already there: For daytime go to Cafe Rojo, it's on the map but every taxi driver will know it. Hopefully it won't be shut down, it seems to open and close sporadically for some kind of code violations. If Rojo is closed, your next three best bets are seedy, but adequate. Touch Me and Blush(addresses under Venues) and Club 122 which is near the corner of Bolivia and Juan Murillo near El Swing. This is a new Club 122, not the one in the middle of Juan Murillo which is now called Blush.
For evenings, my quick recommendations are Extasis, Dollhouse, and 515 in that order. Just ask the cab drivers to take you there. These places are expensive and will run you about $200 US on-site if you don't buy a lot of drinks. For budget, try Dolce Vita (Venues) or Barbies. I'll have to look for the info on Barbies, it's in my notes somewhere.
