US Dollars in ATMs

ClubHombre.com: South America: Uruguay: Montevideo: US Dollars in ATMs

The ATMs at the Tres Cruces bus terminal in Montevideo carry US Dollars. I believe more or all of the ATMs in the city do, but I can't confirm.

If you are heading into Argentina after Uruguay, it's important to have enough to cover your costs in US dollars. If you use your credit card, debit card, or official cambios in Argentina, you'll only get about 5.5 pesos to the dollar. With US dollars, you'll get closer to 9 or 10. It makes a huge difference in costs.
