Chriscam; I would recommend Cartagena. LDV is the place to go. You walk into LDV and you feel like a kid in a candy store. Cali has more casas.
There is a new casa in Cartagena that has Cali style prices--30,000 COP for 30 minutes. I forget the name. There are 2 or 3 top notch bars in the old city. LDV is in the Boca Grande section of Cartagena. If you want to party with 2 or 3 big titty, long legged, tight butt white girls (that's how I roll) that are gorgeous then LDV is the place. Your ability to speak spanish will help a lot. You can pretend to not be american and get a better deal.

Slavery never ended. We're just not on the plantation anymore. It's sad to see all of the poor black people in Cartagena. You want to help them out by buying their t-shirts and sunglasses and massages; but when you do you become a marked man and they will hound you. No gracias is the best spanish you will ever learn. The black people in the carribean came from Africa. Some black people were already here.

When I was in Cartegena in January, I also stayed at the Hilton a few days. However, they wanted over $200 a night, and it was not worth it. Moved to a smaller local hotel in Boca Grande, and it was not as nice, but friendlier. Most hotels will allow at least one guest a night, but ask. NOTE-the hotter chicks stay at the local hotels, NOT the Hilton because it is cheaper.

I found the girls at LDV very expensive-the all asked 400K to 500K for all night. All night at LDV would start at around 12-1am and go to 6 or 8am. Some good looking stuff, but a little too professional for my liking. As I have stated before, I picked up some nice stuff on the street for 100k to 150k. The ladies start walking when it gets dark. SO you get an all night from about 8pm to 7 or 8am the next day. These girls were not 'dressed' as nice, but the were younger, and most were into everything-GFE and PSE.

If you go to the beach seen. Head to Playa de Holliwood. To get to the beach, keep the ocean on your right, and go past the Hotel Caribe. Holliwood is the first major alley way to the beach. You will see touts standing around. Walk past the touts or ask which tout is Jaison. He looks like a young Evander Holifield. OR keep going down the alleyway to the beach, make a left, and hit the little bar and ask for Jaison. Jaison will set you up with some fine things-cabana, beers, ladies. His ladies will set you back 200k per night. He has around 80 girls he can call. Ask him what you want and he can get it for you.

One night, he brought 3 ladies for me around 7pm and said pick one. He can get you anything you want. His ladies are cute, spinners, GFE, and will be very nice to you. As noted in trip reports to Cartegena, there is also the famous TONY on this beach. WHAT a LOUD mouthed jerk. All the local people and vendors on the beach do not like him. They all say that Jaison has better girls, and will not screw you. Everyone says that Tony will screw you. Get with Jaison, you will not be sorry. Tell him Memo sent you.

Have fun, you can have a great time in Cartegena with the beach and the old walled city.

Schmidt what was the weather like in January?

I am considering traveling to Medellin. I will most likely be traveling alone. I don't speak any spanish, but I look like I'm spanish. I hear mixed things regarding safety in Colombia. Would it be safer to go to Panama and get some Colombian girls there? I've been to Thailand twice. Is Medellin similar to Thailand with regards to the availablity of pus and hunting?

ps: Otherwise, in MDE, stay at the Mansion, have their recommended people pick you up, show you around town, and take you back to the airport.

You will have no problems then.

I have to admit that I did take local taxi's a few weeks ago, and did not experience any problems, and never felt any discomfort as far as personal safety is concern for the 5 or 6 days that I was there.

I've been to Panama and am going to MDE here shortly..My opinion is if you're going to find Colombianas its better to go straight to the source...While in Panama I always got the feeling that the Colombian girls had a fear of immigration and that we had to be sneaky ..A lot like Cuba which I hated... But now looking that your post was in September you've probably already gone and either been killed..or fucked your brains out...either way this post was a waste...

Well it has been more then 6 years since I moved to the Medellin area. This is kinda a goodbye report since I plan on moving back to Cailfornia with my soon to be Colombian wife. I have been with her 6 years now and opportunities here for her here are just not good. I would be willing to wingman and show you all their is to know about Medellin and Colombia for the right guy or guys before I leave.
