After 3 days here, here is my take on termais:
Have not made it to 65.
1. Centaurus very good selection, 7 to 9 range, best is to turn down politely aggressive garotas then interview.
2. Luomo good selection at affordable price R$205
several 7īs possible 8īs
then big drop off
3. Solarium most 6 in looks but always very reliable for good services, I thougth Lorena was very beautiful but probably becuase in comparison to selection.
4. Monte Carlo, can find a 7, same as Solarium very reliable services
5. 4x4 mosly 6īs, can find a 7, too many older garotas
Well I guess I am stuck on 7.
At Help terma girls look very avg compared to others and are middle tier.

havenīt made it to 65 yet either, but i agree with athos assessment of above...thus far, centaurus has best selection, luomo has best value (price vs. selection)...i thought solarium sucked (got there early, but so bad i didnīt even session) and monte carlo had only a few girls worth sessioning with (LOTS of fake blondes there right now, and a couple chicks that i SWEAR looked like travestis..)

65 has same selection with couple of ex luomo (Larissa) and couple of new ones. I was lucky to pick Nana as I rejected 4 or 5 before settling down with her. Gorgeous face, despite kid, very good session with cim finish.
I thought something was wrong with me as I was having a hard time sessioning in Rio but SP fixed me as i could not get enough last night.

After returning from SP and basically sampling mostly from Bomboa, Rio is a big dropoff so now am even more disappointed at termas lineup.
While I could not session with less than an 8 inside Bomboa, and that included 2 10īs, best I can do here is 7 unless I go to Centaurus to look for 8īs. Damn made big mistake of buying air to sp too quickly for 2 nights next week, should have made it 3.
Everybody has different taste but I am looking for 18-21 in the 5ī2 to 5ī8 range with gorgeous face, does not need to be model but like nice waist and decent bunda.
Centaurus has about 1/2 dozen girls for me I would not mind sampling. I can highly recommend mulatta Sandy (best ass in town), tall loira Ingrid.
4x4 no one but I recommend Flavia.

If anyone is thinking of flying, you may want to look into purchasing a pass as I wanted to go to POA and had to back down with R$900 tag, while going to SP cost R$400, still steep but affordable at least.

Help is great for $ as they give you 2.95. So basically you get almost in "free" as cambio gives 2.80.

All the major termas have website that you can signup for an email discount. Usually the entrance fee ($50R) is waived.

Ok, the above post is not correct. For Solarium and Monte Carlo; for signing up on their websites, you recieve a coupon that entitles you to a waived cabine fee($R50, only good for a 40 min session). These coupons are good on Monday for Solarium and Tuesday in Monte Carlo, and have a 15 day expiration from the date of signing up. I have signed up for this promotion multiple times with the same email account and have answered affirmativly to being a current customer and have still recieved the coupons.

Terma 65 offers a pay for 3 admissions and get the 4th free promotion. You need to sign up at the front desk, they will give you anumber and you have to give this number to the front desk each time upon admission.

4X4 will waive your admission if you session before 5pm.

L'uomo reduces your admission by $R10-20, I can't remember the amount and god knows I should know this one, if you session.

Centarus doesn't offer a discount, and in fact will hit you up for a $R20 tourist tax and that you need to pay up front for a session. Go enough or speak portuguese well enough and they will waive both of those requirements.

Rio Antigo and Aeropuerto, I am not sure of. I just don't go to those termas.

Went to Centarus last night. If they know you they will waive the prepay requirements. Place got crowded later around 9:00/10:00 or so and I have to admit in my opinion the quality of the girls has gone way down say from 6 monthss ago but there are still a few gems to be found (oh yeah I found one). - Hemp

They seem to be right around the same amounts. Only difference I noticed, is that the termas in Copa are sunning more specials now. I guess Gringos arent too willing to spend 300R for 40 minutes anymore.

I would expect that the Zona Sul termas will be doing their annual price increases in November. Luomo always seems to pick Thanksgiving Day, Solarium and Monte Carlo seem to do it a little sooner.

I was wondering if anyone knows and would be willing to share what the times are that the full shifts arrive at the various termas.

I was curious whether or not I'm the only one who has a serous problem with their eyes in the termas. If I stay longer than three hrs, with the smoke there, it's almost a guarantee my eyes are going to be burning once I leave. Sometimes it's quite distressing because I'd like to stay longer (for obvious reasons). Also, it lasts for several hrs after I leave. It's gotten so bad, that I regularly have to use eyedrops, and aspirins afterwards.

I have the same problem with the smoke, the cure is to spend more time in the rooms:-), Seriously I found that a good steam in the sauna helped.

Ditto; I have to take showers or steams to help with the burning eyes problem.

I would kill for a smoke-free termas. There's a niche some brasileiro businessman ought to fill. Of course, finding 50 GDPs who don't smoke might be impossible!

What they need is better ventilation or "smoke eaters". I am a smoker and it even bothered me after a while.

I've checked the web sites for each of the major ones and prices aren't listed. Currently the prices listed on the L'Uomo branch has a 1hr suite listed for R200. I don't think that is right.

To the best of my knowledge pricing at Zona Sul termas hasn't changed since November 2005. As far as 4x4, the prices in the threads there have been updated towards the bottom.

I am planning a trip to Rio for 2 weeks. If anyone recently been there and visited termas, please suggest a good one and as well the price. Thanks in advance.

Enter each thread for the terma's. There is plenty of info.... the top ones are 4x4, Solarium, Luomo, Centaurus (the most expensive one), and Monte Carlo. There are others, but as a newbie you will be in good shape sticking to those. Just read the message thread for each. As far as which is the best - opinions vary greatly. Just go, check it out yourself and soon you will find your favorite. As far as finding them, just write down the name (if you do not speak Portuguese) and show the taxi driver. They get a commission from the house, so they will be quite eager to take you to them.

I havent been to rio in a couple years.The last new terma to open at that time was cancun. I found the place nice but the girl quality low. Anyway, i will be going back in a few months and want to know if any new termas have opened in the quality range of the top 5 that we all go to.

Nope, Cancun was the last "major" termas to open. About the only change on the termas front since a couple of years ago is that Rio Antigo finally shut down.

Do the termas adhere to the new non smoking legislation? I read that the new law prohibits smoking indoors anywhere??? First trip in three years, wondering what to expect . .

All were adhering to the NS policy last March. Some girls would light up in the cabines at 4X4 (if you let them). Otherwise the places were smoke-free in all the public areas.

In the last two weeks I have been to all of them at least once, except Cancun and Solarium. No sign of any regular cigarette smoking. Weed on the other hand......

In seven years of termas runs I've never seen nor smelled anyone smoking weed, certainly not in any public areas. If they're smoking pot in a cabine then someone is paying for an expensive venue to smoke cheap pot.

As to smoking, the back bar at 4x4 seems to be a designated smoking area of some sort, but that's about it. Be it termas or restaurants, the no-smoking laws are making many mongers happy.

As far as 4x4 goes, I found it hard to breath in the bar before the ban. I left after 10 minutes one friday night because of the crowd and smoke. Personally I like the smoking ban.

I didnt mean to imply people were openly smoking weed in the public areas of the termas.

Just pointing out that a lot of smoking does take place in the cabines but in my experience its always weed.

The price of a programa isnt any different if they share some smoke with you and while sometimes its not all that strong, sometimes its very good.

Had some at Luomo last night. It has become a tradition with me and a well known garota at 4x4. Cant have a program with her now where she doesnt break it out and insist I have some with her.

Perhaps its just to ease the trauma of having sex with me but its offered for free and I usually take them up on their offer.

I've had several girls ask if I wanted to smoke some pot with them in the cabines at 4X4, but nowhere else. Looks like it's not unheard of at L'uomo.

Ken is rarely seen in termas any longer, and he doesn't smoke at all.

I recently was in quatro and now that I think about it there was no smoke, except upstairs in the small bar. Unfortunately, I was there on a Brasilian holiday and they must not have had their A-team working (a lot of overweight beasts), so the best I can say about that day was there was no smoke. Too bad, because in the past I always liked the selection at quatro.

wow! no smoking!! I cant wait. That might actually make up for the shitty exchange rate. It was always a dream of mine to go in a terma and not have to breathe that shit. The only problem now is, if they are smoking in the rooms in 4x4, it is only a matter of time before we all die in a fire, since there is no escape, unless your near the exit. That place would burn down so fast. It would be like the club that whitesnake played at.

Every time I enter 4x4 I can't help but think "Fire Trap." But I doubt those plastic things they call matresses in the suites would be flamable. They feel like they're some friggin space suit material they're so uncomfortable.

So far Solarium is the only termas I have been to that there is smoking, which sucks because they have the best selection (so far). AZ
