These sisters actually wanted to charge me $20US to take their picture. didn't do it.

the sister on the left wanted 100US and could only talk her down to R200 and then she says while we are walking away I will neeed R50 for taxi??!! no thanks...

The one in the chair, red bikini? If so I wouldn't doubt it. Never talked to them because they had a bitchy attitude. Saw them talk to a few Americans, but they then went back to their own chairs. The $100 is probably the reason. And my bet is that it would be a very quick session. Pop and then she would be gone.

How far from the Luxor Regente hotel on Av.Atlantica 3716, were these photos shot? That's where I will be at on 16 March.

This is your typical Hooker beach scene, very low scale girls, From now until first week of march, there asking too much.

If standing in front of HELP. This was just to the left say about 45 degrees. In front of Laboto's beach chair stand. But am sure anywhwer up and down the area you will find somthing you like.

No, there's no pro scene along Ipanema. The largest congregation is in front of the Othon Palace Hotel (near Help) and the second group can be found in Leme, out in front of Mabs, but it's much smaller and more hit and miss.

Roadglide, these pics were taken just a few blocks from the Luxor Regente. Just step out your hotel door and turn left, walk until you get to the Othon Palace, then head across to the beach.

Just a little advice on photography:

Try to keep your files under 80kbs as they take wayyyyyyyyyy to long to load. For most travel shots that never get printed shooting at 640x480 will do the trick for web display and you get your message across without clogging up the threads.

There is a small but decent beach action in Ipanema right in front of the Caesar Park Hotel near posto 9. The majority of guests at that hotel are wealthy americans. the hotel is the second most expensive in Rio. The quality of the girls can sometimes be in the upper 8's.
