I have got to take my hat off to Snoop he did a great video showcasing the beautifull women of Rio!! All the fellas who go to Rio for Michelle Pfeiffer and Calista Flockhart lookalikes will be dissapointed. But all the guys who love the beautifull brown skin beauties of Rio will absolutely love this video!!
I'm not sure where he got most of the girls (maybe a model agency) because they were not full of Help girls like the Jarule video. He even added a little of the samba drums to the video which made for a nice change of pace, especially since it showed the girls shaking their asses to the samba beat!
After watching this video, I immediately called all my buddies who constantly ask me "why I go to Rio so often?" to watch the video and then they would have their answer. Good Job Snoop!!

They filmed that video around the second week of Jan.The girls I saw at the time going into the van in front of mia pataca were girls from that area and on the programa.I talked to one of the guys about it when they were looking for girls for the video.I wish I would have saw them filming.
Whats the name of the video, I dont even think I got around to asking that question at the time.
By Thumper on Friday, February 28, 2003 - 08:14 pm: Edit |
The name of the video is called "beautifull". He used "programma girls" for the crowd and background scenes only. The main 10 girls who served as eye candy are from a modeling agency in Rio.

I was going to post about this also after I had first seen it. I thought it might be Rio and then I saw the sidewalk pattern on the boardwalk and I knew. I really hope nobody watches the video and decides to go and inflate the program prices of my women.

I just saw the video ..so I booked a ticket for Rio . I plan to spoil those hotties with lots of $$$$$$ One question MitchC . I like to pay program women with Us dollars . They won't mind will they? .. honestly I do not think that video could possibly bring that many more..I mean just look at M.p. It is always crowded with wannabe rap stars!

Just curious, the girl that hangs with Snoop in the "Beautiful" video...Does anyone know what modeling agency she's with? She is definitely HOT! BTW, are "modeling agency girls" on the program?

Thumper,
I meant that it looks like that is where the hip hop crowd hangs out.. and it is always crowded so obviously this video is not the eye opener for the hip hop community.
By Atomicdog on Sunday, March 16, 2003 - 10:15 am: Edit |
I doubt if this video will have any real impact on the Hip Hop nation. You have to realize that the young Hip Hop guys are already banging the young Hip Hop hotties in their hometowns for free.
I don't think that the majority of them are interested in flying for 14 hours to have to pay to gang some Rio hotties when they have access to plenty of hotties at home.

Solid808, the girls in the video were from this modeling agency in Brasil. They are normal models not programma girls.

I love the video too. It really catches the flavour of Rio. Does anybody have an idea of the name of the castle ? palace ? mansion with the pool? where they shot the party at the end and where it is located?
Well, it looks like this video has been produced by the Rio tourist office...Brazil, I am afraid, is going to become the place to be...

I wish more mongers would take pictures of morenas and mulattas. It seems as most of the mongers on this board have a thing for guerras with died blonde hair and tan lines. Can these type of chicas be found in the Termas...seems like all the pictures are of white girls....with a couple of exceptions.
By Thumper on Thursday, March 20, 2003 - 01:28 pm: Edit |
Dcool1, my frind told me that the palace where the video was shot, is actually a museum in Rio. I didn't belive him at first because I have never seen a museum with a pool inside, but he insists that its a museum. Don't know the name of it.
By Dcool1 on Saturday, March 22, 2003 - 03:35 pm: Edit |
Thanks Thumper. My guess is for a museum too. Maybe Museu Characa do Ceu in Santa Teresa or Museu Nacional in Zona Norte.
I am going next week to Rio to especially check out that point... and some other details down there.

He mentioned that its on an island, if that helps you at all.

An island with a museum? In the Rio area? never heard of that. Hope the garotas had.
By Badseed on Friday, March 28, 2003 - 01:49 pm: Edit |
Guys:
The video was shot at:
Avenida Atlāntica, Leme, in fornt of Rua Anchieta.
Tavares Bastos favela in Catete (and I'm pretty sure the Catete Palace is the last scene with the pool, it was Brazil's "White House" before the move to Brasilia)
The steps at Lapa
Parque da Cidade
Parque Lage
The coolest thing is "Obrigado brasil" at teh end of the video - that shows a lot of class

That video is hot. You can pull it up by searching for the word snoop on launch.yahoo.com
I think the video will have an impact on the 'hip hop nation' (is that the code word for black? lol)
Why am I saying this -- becuase 3 friends from the 'hip hop nation' have attached themselves to our trip and love to recall that video. As far as rio becoming overly commercialized because of snoops video? No time soon most likely -- many of snoops fans in the 'hip hop nation' are 12-27 and can't afford a trip of this caliber (on top of being too young for the smaller half). Those fans that are in the 30+ bracket are growing to points where they can afford extravagant trips anyways and would have discovered various places anyway (depending on their hobby preference)
Anyways....the video is nice and 'latin' girls go absolutely wild when they hear it in the clubs in the states (i live in Miami Beach and ive never seen a reaction to that song like i see here) -- its like their theme song here
Enjoy the video

Mrkappa, Maybe the guys you see or hang around with or the ones you know can't afford a trip to RIO that are under 30 years of age.
But, the ones I know I found many guys from Fla and the NYC area and also many on the westcoast from the (hip-hop) group that you spoke about that I found them to have a lot $$$ to spend.
Most of the time guys that I know under 30 have more $$$$ to spend on trips to RIO or anywhere in the world they want to go, I been to clubs in the South Beach area or back in Hawaii were I have homes were guys under 30 from the (hip-hop)group I found many GUYS SPEND MORE $$$ IN ONE SINGLE NIGHT IN THE VIP area of a club, that they could have took two trips or more trips to RIO for a week or more if they wanted to.
I have rented one of my places in Hawaii to a few hip-hop guys for a week many times in the past year and they had friends flying in from all over the world to visit them (JUST TO HANG OUT JUST FOR A WEEKEND).
For one most of them don't have child support or been marry two or three times trying to take care of two households etc or have a lot of debt, so they can blow a lot of $$$ on trips etc.
This is why people market and target the hip-hop group because they have more $$$$ to spend on things I know some guys young guys from a local college that have been going to Rio for the past 3 years they all are under 23 years old.
In life its all about what your over head is if you have (debt/ex-wives/child-support/car payments/cerdit cards/ loans/house payments/etc.etc.) this will cut down on you having a lot of extra $$ to spend on things like trips to RIO (just look around and check out some of what the kids of (hip-hop) are wearing or driving) and you will see what I am talking about.
I spend a lot of time on the road going from the West coast to the East coast and all around the world I see more and more younger guys and girls overseas then I have in the past few years with the airline losing $$ and flights on sales all the time more kids are able to afford trips then ever before.
When middle age and older age guys have to work until they are 80 years old (all it take is a layoff here in there or a big drop in the market and your life could get really fuck up).

I agree with some of your words Kid....many young people do splurge -- and some trips are affordable provided they save up. But on the whole, I dont think a lot of sub-25 year olds are travelling as much as you think to exotic locations outside of possibly spring break and even that is a small percentage (domestic travel for sure...US tickets are cheap....but international travel...not as much as you think for US based minorities).
The high echelon hip hop crowd that you are talking about are an extremely small percentage of people that may actually be in the industry or in the business of "selling a thing or two" who indentify with carrying themselves under the guide of hiphop (thats still a small small percentage of minorities on a whole -- throw in athletes and its still a small percentage)...the $300 shirt/shoe/pants, 5k car rims, expedition driving, kid still doesnt have many aspirations for dropping 5k on international travel. Most of the material gear that you are checking out was financed by parents and/or easy-to-acquire college credit card (average college kid blows through 10k-15k in credit card debt while in college).
My point (maybe i didnt express myself well) was that cash (to the average person that attains his wealth via an education and moving up their respective ladders) is something that really starts to happen (unless you are extremely lucky) post 28 years old and up (especially for minorities, of whom most of the successful are categorized as 'first generation wealth' and usually didnt have inheritances to jumpstart their lives). Hell doctors dont really see real money until they are mid 30's at the least. Im yet to see a 'hip hop' international travel push outside of event related happenings (most of which under that umbrella are in the US and not marketed too heavily...regional at best).
But Like you said, maybe thats me and the people that Ive encountered in my personal and professional travels (and everyone's experience is different so i totally respect what you are saying).
but hey -- im not here to go back and forth on a tangent -- just wanted to say i agree with your post in certain aspects -- and not in others.
Im here to get advice on hitting rio and enjoy reading your posts. Id like to hear more of your words of wisdom as it pertains to rio on various posts.
See ya soon

Mrkappa, I see and respect your points man, its all in the company we keep or the circles we run in or the world we live in.
Like the other day I called into a radio sports talk show the clowns on the mike were talking about Kobe buying his wife a (4 million dollar ring) and they went on and on talking about it for 3 hours I couldn't take it any longer I had to call in and tell these guys on the air maybe for you clowns on the air that maybe bring in around $30,000 to $50,000 grand a year 4 million is a lot of $$$, but for someone like Kobe thats make around 33 million a year a 4 million dollar ring ONLY make up very little of his yearly income that type of $$$ isn't shit to him.
I then said, (STOP HATED ON KOBE MAYBE HE SHOULD HAVE SPENT $5.00 AND FUCK BOTH OF YOUR WIVES IN THE ASS AND HE COULD HAVE GOT SOME CHANGE BACK) they cut me off the air.
But Mrkappa, I see were you are coming from sometimes here in the USA its easy for me or others to get caught up in a life style we live in day to day and not see the REAL world around us this is why I love going to different places around the world and see how so different people live and then I can come back here in the USA and I can see how really bless I am to live the way I do.

MRK and Kid Cisco,
I'm only 27 and have been traveling outside the US since 18.
I love to travel and explore other countries to experience different cultures. It just that Rio has took a toll.
There are no age range on who spends what and who travels. A lot of young guys I know would love to go to Brazil but they rather go to Vegas or Miami with $$$$ and party favors and do the same thing your doing in Rio.
Everytime I go to Rio, it seems were the youngest everywhere, From the beach to termas and Help. (The girls will surely leave the old guys and party with us if we spent the same $$$, but that will never happen)
Mrk,
A trip to Rio is a drop in a bucket anyway.
You think that's big money to go to Rio. You can enjoy on a $100USD a day budget.
Thats the last think you want, a bunch of young guys with cash giving these girls there monthly wages in one night. Really screwing the market.
I'm in California, Even if I made over $100K a year, as a single guy I still cant afford to buy an $750K average 2000 sq. ft home.
You'll just have a nice rental or live 50+ miles outside the city. Which I would hate.
Anyway,
As any other place in this world, you'll have rich people and poor people and they can do what ever they want.
Think outside the bubble and dont think the young guys in baggy jeans are broke and the bald headed old guy with a gold seiko watch is worth $$$$.

LOL -- I dont think that at all - im in the 25-34 bracket also
I was just saying -- if you say "allocate 2-4g's to this trip" to a college aged kid then most (that I knew) would smirk just a bit.
Thats all im saying.
I know that people of any age come from different backgrounds and financial ranges.
Even a college aged kid with double doctor parents and a HHI of 500k+ doesnt mean that he personally has money or could justify an international trip to his folks that costs thousands of bucks (not talking about rio - just in general). I personally dont know many college aged kids that personally have thousands to blow on a trip unless its CC financed. Maybe i just know poor people who didnt smooch non-necessity purchases off of their parents growing up.
I thnk we are tangenting here though -- just wanted to respond to your post...a lot of college ages people talk a big game but when it gets to the 11th hour - something comes up with many of them -- even on domestic road trips.
Oh and 750k for 2000 square feet?!? Man you need to move to Atlanta. You'd be living extremely well at that price point in atlanta.
Thanks for the advice on the small budget quote from a well experienced traveller to rio -- thats why i read these boards....to get advice for an upcoming trip or 10 (wink).
thanks

College kids and post-college guys are still focused on getting drunk locally and trying to lay that cute blonde Sigma Kappa, Mary Jane Rottencrotch.
I believe that you can't become a true tough-guy monger until you've had enough relationships with enough American girls to realize that life can be much better than that. And that takes a decade or so to sink in!
Of course, you have degenerates such as me who, at an early point in their careers, get hooked up with a company (or join the military) that sends them to spots all over the planet and thus figure out the downside to gringas and the upside to the foreign girls really quick.

MRK,
I hear you but college or not, I think going to Brazil is still a drop in a bucket. When I was in college, we went to Cancun and blew at least $200 a day. Imagine all the east coat college going to the Bahamas for there breaks, big $$$.
I think in general young college guys wouldn't think of blowing $$ on pussy. Of course any guy would if it's in there face but to travel 18 hours in the air to monger-- maybe not.
ATL-- Can't live there, it's not beautiful as San Francisco. It may have it's little perks but if I want to save money I can just move to Sacramento and buy a 4000 sq ft. with a pool for $300K. The quality of life will sure go down.

I think the big difference is there's tons of free pussy (yes, I mean *free*, even without wining-dining expenses) to be had for young dudes. I never even thought of paying for pussy until i was well out of my 20s - scoring young hotties was just to too easy up until then.
And, I greatly agree on the 'you need enough experience with American chicks' to really appreciate the foreing girls line of thought presented.
By Mrkappa on Monday, August 18, 2003 - 02:27 pm: Edit |
yeah -- College was a candy-store of freebie ass and experimental chicks all at ground zero (especially if you lived in a co-ed dorm campus)
I 'experienced' every ethnicity while in college
