Had my go away dinner with my honey there, nice view on Copacabana.
Not too expensive 20 to 40R per dish, food was ok but not great, good salad, had shrimp brochettes with rice and fries. Fries were excellent, rice is overcooked in Rio. Fried bananas for dessert were ok. Beer was very tasty.

no actually you can never escape the place once it is in your blood...so maybe alcatraz in close enough ..rio that is...
also watch the tab here..they charged us 3 times for the same basket of bread one day...the next day added 2 drinks to my bill...

Only if they're coming to meet specifiic guys there. They don't hang out there, but some very fine garotas, friends of Don's, will stop by from time to time.

Service is real slow at Alcatraz but food is better than Meia.
Try the chicken soup (canja especial), awesome at 9R, twice as good as the one at Meia.
You go to Alcatraz to stay away from garotas at Meia.
