To get a 5 day forcast before you leave for Rio go to - rainorshine.com - click on world wide cities in the top right hand corner then go to Rio - today calls for high of 86, low of 60 with heavy rains, the next 4 days high will be in middle 70`s lows in the 61,62 range with partly cloudy skies, sounds like pretty perfect temps. to me. (not to hot)

We were staying in Jacarepagua and were in one of those little vans when all that rain hit the other week. Between the rivers for roads and the crazy driver, I was sure I was gonna die!
