No one has mentioned this place so I will. It's a buffet place with a barbecue pit with different meats on a skewer where they cut you slices of the meats you want. They also change the buffet every day so you can have something different all the time. You pay by the weight of the plate.Approx.7 Reals per pound. With a drink i never paid more than 10 Reals, and the food is good. It's on Ave Copacabana about 4 blocks toward Ipanema on the other side of street from Sucos Kice.Highly recomended.

I wanted to try to eat here on this trip. I've heard some glowing reviews of this place. I guess that I'll have to plan another trip to Rio.

YT, Maybe next time.As I said I'd highly recomend the place. Also the first two times I went there the owner or manager wouldn't let me pay for my beer.It was a nice introduction.

This is the favorite charruscia of many hombres, myself included, and garotas de programa. The meat is excellent, dessert is not bad.
They have a sushi buffet at higher cost.
Regular charruscia, drink and dessert will set you down by about 15R.

I did not pig out on this trip and a good meal at Green Grill came out about 7 Reals. One night they had this spinach cream, delicious on top or rice. Meat is always good but not as good as Monchinque.
And don't forget to stop by Mister Suco on your way out to try their Cana, sugar cane, divine for 1 Real.

I have to give credit to the manager at the Green Grill. On Monday after hitting Centaurus I dropped in for a gut busting calorie replenishing meal. While I was eating a bug was buzzing in front of my face. I swatted it and it landed right on top of my slice of roast beef. The bug was still half alive and it looked like it was drowning in the juice of the roast beef. I picked up the roast beef and put it on a napkin and got the waitress. She looked at it and got the manager.
The manager saw it and apologized and took the slice of roast beef away. He came back and told me that I could go to the buffet again and the check was on the house. I told him he didn't have to do that and I had plenty of food and I really didn't mind. He insisted so I got some sushi and more meat. He even brought a another soda for me. When I was about to leave he greeted me at the door and apologized again. This place definitely has my future business.
