After a few years of writing back and forth to Bobby of www.blameitonrio4travel.com, the chance to meet him finally came about. I was only going to be in Rio on Saturday and Sunday, leaving Sunday night. I gave him a call in the afternoon, and then visited his travel agency. You can get the exact address from the website, but it is just a short walk from Help, or “the office,” as they like to refer to it when you do not want anyone to know where you are going.

After meeting and visiting for a while and being invited to join Bobby and his friends for dinner, I left to walk around the corner to Meia Pataca, an outdoor café just down from Help. A cute young lady occupied the rest of the afternoon, and then it was time for dinner.

A phone call to Bobby set the time and place, the Copacabana Palace churrascaria(spelling?), just around the corner from the Copacabana Palace. I met their group, and later other friends of mine joined the group. Bobby welcomed them all, and we were then invited to their special table at Help, or “the office.” As you walk into Help, after reaching the top of the stairs, you can see the sign on the left for the table area for “blameitonrio4travel.”

The place was packed for the Carnival Ball, and spirits were high. Beautiful, scantily clad ladies were everywhere. I left with a friend from a previous visit about 2:00 a.m., and she stayed the night. Bobby left early as well, but let others keep his table.

Through out all of the two days visiting, Bobby was very helpful with information, introducing me to his staff, invitations to dinner with friends, and inviting me to join him at Help. Sunday afternoon was spent walking around Copacabana, and relaxing at Meia Pataca again. The rest of the afternoon was spent with a beautiful Brasiliera from another city, who convinced me that I had enough time to make love with her before I had to leave for the airport. That was not too hard to do(grin).

Imagine my disappointment after she left when I received a message that the flight had been delayed until the next afternoon. Damn, another night in Rio. A quick shower, grab a taxi, and head for an ATM machine, and Barbraella’s. It was fairly early when I arrived, around 10:30 or so. Shortly afterwards though, it started to fill up fast. I preferred to be by myself initially, until I spotted one that I liked. This was going to be quick, so within a few minutes, we were out the door. She was a fantastic lady, and it was a beautiful way to end two nights in Rio.

For those who have never been to Rio, I would recommend using Bobby’s services. He can provide a guide for you to negotiate prices from girls to other goods, and as well as show you around and give you a feel for the city. The can arrange anything that you might like to do, and he knows the city inside and out. Best of all, he speaks the TSM language.

I can vouch for that! Until I read Moondog's report on BA, I had never, ever left the United Staes in my life. The report was so well written that I decided to take a chance. It was the best vacation I ever had in my life, I went so crazy with the beautiful women of Argentina, that I must of had sex about 30 times with 30 different girls in a 14 day period..geez back home I'm lucky if I get 30 different girls in a year for that price. Blame it on Rio - I used them in May for a ticket from BA to Rio and hotel reservation at DeBret. I just got my Visa statement and the price for the ticket was $50 more than he told me on the phone. In addition, the hotel charged more than when he said it was going to be. I got a better rate doing the on-line reservations with Ipacom travel. The money is not that much of a big deal but the trust is what I don't like. No more dealing with Bobby. Also when we were there he try to setup a tour for us. However, the driver never showed. Anyone else had this problem?

I've been hearing bad things about Bobby lately...heard he was under investigation for assault or something (this was on the WSA boards) and he hijacked Kenn from Ez-Rio Rentals website (www.ezriorentals.com now redirects to blame it on rio)...don't know the guy personally, but from what i've read on the boards, I'd rather spend my money with Don, Kenn, Jose, John Thompson or possibly Luiz...

I have never done any serious business with Bobby and he has always treated me in a friendly manner, but I have spent time talking with him and in his office.While there I witnessed several phone conversations he had with clients. Based on what he said to the clients and what he said to his secretary afterward it was obvious that he was lying to the clients. These were probably trivial matters, but his attitude was so relaxed and cavalier that it seemed to be his standard operating proceedure. I do not think he can be relied upon to give straight information when he thinks it is in his interest to lie. This is not to say he can not provide good service ,but I ,for one, would be cautious.

The fact that I've read at least a dozen negative posts from different people regarding Bobby, and I"ve only been a board member for a little over a month is a definite bad sign. Compare this to John Thompson, Luiz, Jose, Don and Kenn who all come with rave reviews, and I can't really see why anyone would bother to risk it with Bobby...

I did not mention I wanted to buy ticket to fly within Brazil ahead of time while I am in the U.S. as I am arriving on a sat and want to fly the following Tues.
If it is possible to buy ticket on 3 day notice then I should do that, maybe you have an idea on that?
On the Web, GOL has great prices but you need a CPF# to book.
American web sites offer travel within Brazil like Travelocity, Expedia and even AA but GOL is not offered, only TAM and Varig, Vasp, more expensive.
I hate to talk about hearsay, my buddy Kojak mentioned being ripped off of 50R but he still pointed me in Blame it on Rio to book ticket.
Blame it on Rio gave me a quote that matched exactly GOL price so I am not sure where they could get at me.

I came to Rio with extremely high expectation after shagging some gorgeous brasilerias around the world and especially with all the braz from ba. We figure it would take a full month to sample some ladies at all the clubs in sau paolo.

I know it's a low season, but I assume the girls's atti don't change according to season. If they are cunts now, imagine when Rio is full of tourists during high time. Met Sake briefly in Luomo with his sidekick ampm and it definitely seems like they have much higher standards than I...while I haven~t really come across any tens (scratch that, Camilla at Luomo and Debra at Monte Carlo would both be 10´s as overall experiences in my book) the quality of the girls seems decent, but I agree you have to wade thru A LOT of throwaways, especially at places like 4x4...I´m a newbie, and not nearly as well travelled as many on this site, especially sake, but I think the average monger would be hard pressed to have a bad time in this city...it seems you come to rio to fuck the beach bunnies, and you go to Sao Paolo to fuck the dignified European escort types...Even Help last night had a fair amount of doable girls, but again, you had to wade thru the hags to find them...I guess it~s just really hard when you~re talking about something as subjective as what a guy is attracted to, to make an assessment. I didn't have any bad experience in Rio, it just wasn't what we wanted it to be. I had a great time, especially the second run, but I didn't make any plans to come right back before the trip ended. If you notice, with all the ravings about how beautiful these women are, we all seemed to be shagging the same names: Camila, Bia, Paola, Juliana, Taiza, Julia, Vanessa...over a two years period.

Eventhough I didn't see any head-turner or stunner, I still strongly believe that Rio is THE best place to monger. Every true monger should at least visit Rio once during his mongering life. I did have a bad experience with Bobby a year ago when I went to Rio by myself and didn't use the services of Vera Campos, whom my cousin used to get our apartments the previous times we'd been there. He promised me a beachfront apt, but it "wasn't available" when I got there--he said the people who were renting it liked it so much they were staying on. He showed me a unit off Ave. N.S. Copacabana, inferior location at the same price. I wanted beachfront, so he found me one much more expensive than the original price, plus an extra $10/day for a live-in maid who "looked after the apt." and didn't do much else (like change my sheets more than once in 8 days).

Vera told me some things he's done that would make me very, very cautious about relying on him for much. I like Bobby, we were friendly when he was in his office (before he got married, I haven't seen him there on numerous pass-bys on several trips since). But I won't stray from Vera for my apartments now (she even picks me up at the airport), and the people she recommends (she's a Carioca, fluent in English).
