Mongers,
After countless hours, and countless e-mails back-n-forth with Etolie hotel mgmt. I am happy to announce that I secured a rate of 96.8 INCLUDING TAX and free breakfeast for an EXECUTIVE suite at the Etoile hotel in Recoleta. Just let them know that you are Armani's guest and need to reserve your room per the rate and perks we discussed.
Normally the executives suites (not standard) go for 130/night plus 21% tax Total 145.20USD. Add that up and it saves enough for another GFE if you ask me..~grin.

Correction to my last calculation..
The normal rate fro an executive suite at the Etoile is 130/night +21% tax=157.30USD. In two nights you have enough for another GFE with the rate I have secured for us Mongers...enjoy!!
Mongers,
When calling (or e-mailing) Etoile to book your room, speak with Maria Julieta Maldonado and tell her that you are with Armani's group at the rate we have been discussing for the executive suite.
She can be e-mailed at : hotel@etoile.com.ar I am booking already for my film shoot in March '02.

Armani,
I emailed them trying to make a reservation based on your rate. (I appreciate all your help with this). Is she saying $132 is in Pesos and is the tax included with that +- sign? It doesn't appear that way. Here is the email I got back today:
Flyguy, can you email me? I'd like to get some info from you. I'm going down in May. dallasynot@yahoo.com

What is the going rate now for something in the Recoleta area that is also Chica friendly?
By Ezy on Monday, March 11, 2002 - 01:49 pm: Edit |
hi canonperdido, the situation is very fluid right now. Design Suites en barrio norte is charging U$66 plus tax. ETOILE seems to be willing to negotiate, but appears to be about the same.
When were you last in BA? I will be back there on friday, and noticed that today's rate of exchange is 2.25 pesos per dollar which should result in even lower prices for chicas and hotels. I am staying downtown this trip but if you are heading back to BA soon I will be glad to check some prices for you.....
By Flyguy on Tuesday, March 19, 2002 - 07:55 am: Edit |
Hombres,
I have stayed at the Etoile three times before. It indeed is very Chica friendly, and the staff is great, but they are trying to get as much $$$ USD as they possibly can right now. If you are a gringo, say you are paying in Pesos and do not have US currency to pay them with. This will drop their rate down to 140 pesos (About 57USD) a night including tax.
For those of us who travelled to BA in 2001, we can surely appreciate this rate ~wink. I have been negotiating back-n-forth with Etoile this past week and have come to the conclusion that it is imperative not to pay in USD. You will end up paying 3x the amount you would pay in Pesos.
Maybe EZY, who I beleieve is there now can shed some light on how he is working his deals with hotels.
On the bright side, I spoke with some of my favorite chicas in BA and they have not increased their rates becaused of the devalued Peso. In other words, a hottie I payed 200 pesos (equivalent to 200USD in 2001) is still charging me 200 pesos (Now about 85USD)..HOOOOORAY!!!
Now I can get 3 girls for what I paid on only one girl before the devaluation of the Peso.
Saint, make sure you make your reservations with Maria Julieta..ask for her specifically as she is very nice and has more power to negotiate with us Hombres.
I CAN'T WAIT TO GET THERE MYSELF!!!!
Cheers!

Your welcome Saint..try to ask for Suite 701. Be aware that I had my share of good times there and It has a great view of Recoleta. Girls loved standing on the balcony at night and it was high enough to accomodate some great sex experiences ~grin.
Too bad I have to dream until June. It's sad to hear that club hippo closed down, I took home a few great orgys from this place...:-(
Regardless, do not miss out on club newport, nice chicas and reasonable price. BTW, please have a full report ready and keep us updated by posting on this thread while you are there.

Etoile was booked and some people extended their stays so they apologized to me when I arrived. They set me up with hotel Francia for just one night and paid for everything including my room service breakfasts for myself and Lisa.
I´m staying in Suite 805 and it is a mini sex mansion. Foyer, Bathroom suite, sitting and gaming area with couches and chairs, gaming/working round table and four chair, seperated king size bed area, and a balcony over look casa de Eva Peron and the harbor.
Thanks Flyguy. I did get Maria a bottle of J´adore and she´s loving it.

Sakebomb..great move..Maria Julieta will remember you for that and will ensure you have a great time always. I will actually try to rent an apt hotel next time I'm down there..just to make a cxomparison. As you can see Etolile lives up to the reputation I have given it on this board..I'm glad AND GEEN WITH ENVY you are having a great time. I have to wait unitl June for 3 weeks of fun in BA..Please keep us updated as to what is going on with Chica prices cliubs etc...I saw that the Peso is 3:1 this morning.

I just checked out of Hotel Etoile this morning. The rate was 146 pesos including tax and breakfast. Fabulous hotel with a quality staff and low hassle experience at a great location. I will repeat here no problem. Sakebomb has been charming Maria, so he may have an even lower rate. The rate I ended up with is half of what my confirmed price was at for double occupancy.
By Sakebomb on Monday, April 22, 2002 - 05:30 pm: Edit |
Uwphoto, that´s great news buddy as you only had to pay about 50us instead of the confirmed 80us plus taxes and bfast. i´m at 120peso all inclusive so can´t beat that.
i did meet my first argentino ahole last night. i took my double back to the suite and this 5feet prickhead told me oh no senor...only one, not two ladies....I got his name as Adrian. the bell desk/security knew me well so he ran out and told this dude to leave me alone and start filling out the registration cards. Another hotel clerk, a much heavier guy named Emilio, came down and almost chewed this prickhead apart. All I´ve heard was something involved my name as...."es senor sakebomb....no tienes problemo y nada con elle...." We saw enough, so I just said Emilio don´t do anything bad to the dude as their social-econ conditions are already worst enough. there is absolutely no need to get anyone fired here. I gave them both some tips. Adrian apologized and i went up to my suite with my double pleasure. My back is still hurt from last night.
In the future, you guys need to make sure you can take two or more up AT THE SAME TIME if you stay at the Etoile. I didn´t have to register my single anymore.
By Flyguy on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 - 06:38 am: Edit |
Sakebomb,
I use to take 5 girls one time 10 girls at a time for a private party. It all depends on how well you tip, and how much they like you...they loved me...I even invited them (secuity and concierge night guy) upstairs and had two girls give them a BBBJ on me...hahaha..you can see I NEVER had a problemn doing ANYTHING I wanted. I was KING during my stay and they all catered to my desires and wild partys/orgys upstairs.

Hombres,
On my recent trip to Argentina, I did not stay at the Etoile hotel; Instead, I used a free agency called "alojargentina" it translates to "Stay in Argentina". The reason I used them was because I wanted to experience between staying in an AptHotel vs a regular hotel...
I can tell you that the treatment I got was First Class all the way.
They were in charge of my accomodations, transporation and just about anything my heart desired 24hrs a day.
I loved staying at an Apt hotel called Design Suites in Downtown area on Marcelo T. Alvear Blvd. It is very hip and decorated Miami style, so I felt just like home. The concept is simple: give the travelling businessman a concierge to meet all his needs and of course free of charge to the traveller, the hotels they do business with pay them to bring you there. I was also a 3 minute cab ride away from Recoleta and all the chica action.
Anyway their website is:
http://www.alojargentina.com
request a girl named Myrna to help you she is "Da bomb" and will ensure you have all you need to facilitate your stay...BTW, staying at an Apt hotel all gave me the advantage of discretion with chicas...never a hassle or walk of shame...

What is the going rate here now per night on a 3 or 4 night stay?
By Ezy on Monday, June 03, 2002 - 07:42 am: Edit |
Canonperdido,
Try buenosaires.com for a list of promotions at various hotels. Design Suites is running a special for $54.45 per night if you stay for a week. This is for a junior suite and includes taxes....The special is valid through June 30.
There are some very good bargains through buenosaires.com......

here is another option if aparthotels interest you....this is a great hotel, 3 blocks from the action in Recoleta.....the current rate for a one bedroom in $68 per night, plus tax....

Etoile is still 132 pesos plus 21% tax for executive suite, double occupancy so no guest charge. At an exchange rate of 3.5 to the dollar, that is about $45US/night including tax. Can be charged to a credit card. Great hotel, great location, great staff.
By Batman on Tuesday, June 11, 2002 - 07:51 pm: Edit |
Thx Ezy for the URL. I liked the Design suites dowtown, but I did not like having to take a cab everywhere. In recoleta, you can pretty much walk anywhere and the chicas feel more comfortable. BTW, how is the action now that it's winter there? I planning on going back early August.

Here is a tidbit about Etoile - I had in the past noticed a Turkish Carpet in the lobby of the Diplomatic Suites (third floor, fouth floor) and also a turkish flag. It turns out the owners are Turkish - Now to turn this into an advantage in another thing

Anyone know if October/November are busy months here? How far in advance might I need to make a reservation at Etoile?
By Ezeamante on Saturday, September 21, 2002 - 09:27 am: Edit |
d'Artagnan,
I am a newbie, but I would advise making your reservations as soon as you know your travel dates. Better safe than sin room. I did pose your question to Mayra, and I'm waiting on a response.
Also, if anyone is interested, the Etoile does have internet connection in every suite. Just in case you want to lug your laptop down there like I'm going to do.

EZE,
Are you sure they have internet connection in every suite. Back in May, my phone in my room barely worked and looked really old. By "internet connection" do they just mean dial up? I didn't see a connection in my room. (But then again I was VERY busy)....grins
By Ezeamante on Sunday, September 22, 2002 - 07:21 am: Edit |
I asked Mayri that question specifically, telling her I was taking my laptop. She said they have them in every suite. What I don't know, is if she meant diplomatic or executive also. I will let you know when I'm there one way or the other.

EXECUTIVESUITE $225.-+TAX
DIPLOMATICSUITE $250.-+TAX
She said the "Armani" rate is no longer available.

A few months ago, at a hotel in the FarEast, My counterpart and I were in the same hotel - (I was rack-rate less 20%, he, 45%) addressing the same group of folks - The very next week, in HKG, I tried using his firm's name to no avail at the same chain's HKG property......
OBJECT-LESSION: The "Armani" discount @ Etoile slipped through because they did not have an ERP Also did anyone of you'll who have stayed in the hotel noticed that there is a Turkish motif in all diplomatic suites ? Go-Figure

Hi,
I'm trying to decide whether to get the Diplomatic suite or the Executive suite at the Etoile, does anyone know what the difference is between the two, apart from the extra space? Given that most people seem to be getting the Executive suites, I'm beginning to think that the Diplomatic suite might not be worth the extra expense. Thanks.
DB
By Donbusch on Monday, June 09, 2003 - 02:08 pm: Edit |
I would also appreciate it greatly if someone could point out the best suites in the hotel by room number so I would know which one to request upon check-in. Also, is it true that the Etoile will deny access to any escort who is under 21?

Donbusch
The diplomatic suite is bigger (has an extra room, sort of a salon (which is about as neccesary as a tatoo on your liver) and I suppose that's cool. The biggest difference (and one that is perhaps even worth the few extra pesos) is that it has a MUCH nicer jacuzzi-style tub, big enough to play in.
Pablo
By Donbusch on Monday, June 09, 2003 - 06:44 pm: Edit |
Hi Pablo,
Don't really see much use in the salon myself although it does give me more room for chica parties. BTW, in what sense is the Diplomatic suite's jacuzzi nicer? I saw a picture of the jacuzzi in the Executive suite on the Etoile website and it looks barely bigger than a regular bathtub but I was told that the actual jacuzzi in the Executive suite can fit 2-6 people, can't imagine the Diplomatic Suite's jacuuzi being any larger. Thanks.

I would stay again at the Etoile, great location or any of the other places I've stayed since (Artsuites, HoJo San Martin and Hotel Bel Air).
The rates you were quoted are silly numbers though. Mayra will cut through the bs for you. Going to a hotel web page does not save money in BA.
Good Luck!

Tuttobene,
I stayed at Etoile back in 2002-2004. The prices kept going up so now I just stay at Ibis hotel which is a Accor chain. I talked to the guys at the front desk at Etoile and they said to get a good price, you need to tell the reservation that you are there for business. You can negociate the price some. In 2002 I stay there in a Ambassador suite for $99pesos/night.
