For those of you that can speak a bit of portuguese and are trying to organize a girl thru an escort agency in Rio, the pitfalls are numerous. A great many of them promise more than they deliver, a common occurence being the sending of a different model than the one you have chosen (probably after browsing the internet). This happens even to Brazilians, its not a phenomenon limited to gringo tourists, believe it or not. I can recommend a couple of agencies which seem to be fairly reliable and good value for money:

Both of these agencies are owned (or run by) the same person, so you will find girls from one website also displayed on the other.

A few facts:

-They operate on weekdays from 09:00 to 02:00 the next morning. Not sure about Saturday, definitely closed on Sunday.

-Price is 100 R$ for 2 hours (this would be about $35 US) probably the most reasonable price among the Rio Escort agencies. Taxi would also be charged if the girl has to go to meet you somewhere. Taxis are cheap, and they don't seem to try to "gouge" you on that.

-For users of the Scortshow agency, located in Flamengo, there is a clean, comfortable, hotel called Barao de Flamengo located near the agency, the girls can walk to the hotel in 5 minutes. The rooms go for 27.00 R$ (about 10 bucks) for 4 hours. Nothing fancy, no mini-bar for example (but waiters will bring up drinks), although mirrors everywhere (hey. ya gotta have some mirrors, right?). I've been there dozens of times, its a great deal.

-The pictures of the girls have not been doctored. (It might surprise you to know how many of the agencies "photoshop" their photos). Its pretty much WYSIWYG, although accasionally skin tones sometimes seem to be lightened (not an issue for me, this may be due to Brazilian tastes). The girls don't show their faces (as usual in Rio). Occasionally, this might be an occasion for a wee surprise, sometimes pleasant, sometimes less than pleasant. If I had to estimate, I'd say I've been disappointed about 1 in 10 times, and nothing requiring a crew change.

-They advertise all their girls as being "completa", that is, they take it up the bum. I'm personally not that keen on it, but generally speaking, its probably true. I'd say, if you're well endowed and you get a new girl, you might be disappointed, unless you enjoy seeing a girl in pain (in which case you wouldn't be reading a "gentleman's" guide to the hot spots, right?). I'm sure that if you were keen on the anal, and you spoke to the receptionist about your "affliction" beforehand, she'd steer you away from a wasted encounter.

-There's quite a turnover there in terms of personnel. Sometimes new girls there don't have their pictures on the web yet. If you're nearby (e.g. the aforementioned hotel) you can ask to have the book brought over by the new girls. You can look thru the photos that have been taken, (without the girl's faces being hidden on the photos), as well as check out the new girls that have brought over the "book". Quite handy for finding those undiscovered gems. Because of the turnover, you might want to check the website before calling. They are very prompt about pulling a girl's photo when she leaves, if the phot's aren't there, neither is she.

-Only very rarely at these 2 agencies have I been victim of a "switch", where I picked a girl, went to the motel, called to confirm my arrival, and the receptionist told me that the girl didn't get back yet, and "would I like a different one?". This will inevitably happen, a girl gets stuck in traffic, not back at the predicted time, whatever. All I can say is, I've been using this agency a lot, and its only happened once or twice. By the way, this business of calling to confirm your motel room number: this is a usual procedure for almost all the agencies and free-lancers in Rio. You choose the gilr, call her or her agency, they say OK, she's available. Then you go to your motel, get the room and call back to let them know which room you're in and they send the girl. Perhaps its got something to do with safety for the girl, maybe they call the hotel to check if you're actually there, who knows? This might be one more good reason for using a motel close to the agency, the girl won't take long to reach the motel after you do.

-As for the girls: I've had great rides there. That's why I keep going back. I've had some favorites, I've had others that I wouldn't do again. I'm sure that's par for the course no matter which agency you use.

VIPRJ is somewhat of a fraud. None of the girls on the website are available. However, the girl Karina will email some other photos of some ex-models. If there is a particular girl you like, she will find something equivalent on a website like escortgirl.com.br except you will just pay a lot more than if you looked around little more.
Prices are high 500R-1000R and there is no guarantee of a good performance. For that money, you could easily find something good in Centaurus.
