If you are interested in visiting multiple cities on the same trip in Brazil then Varig has a pass that is good to the 78 cities that Varig flies to in Brazil. This pass probably only make sense if you are planning on going to 4-5 destinations. For more information check out www.varig.com and look for the "Brazil Airpass" link.

Be sure to note how long the pass is good for. Last time I looked (a few months ago) it was only for three weeks.

Bendejo is absolutely correct that the pass is only good for 21 days. And there are a number of other rules that you have to adhere to. Including in some instances a trip can count as 2 trips (this is only on popular routes).
But despite the rules/regalations, this can be a very good deal for guys that are going to be traveling about brazil for 2 or 3 weeks and visiting numerous cities so it is something that is good to be aware of.

I've been trying to book tickets on GOL airlines with my US credit card online but their site keeps rejecting it and asking me to check the numbers. I've tried with both Mastercard and Visa and had the same result.Anyone else had the same problem?

Besides 1001, can anyone help with the names and websites of the other bus companies that travel within Brazil?
