It is located at Rua J.J Seabra, 19
Jardim Botânico.
For the cognoscenti, this should be a familiar address to you.
This is a slam dunk Italian restaurant to visit. It is right next door to Solarium. It has a woman chef who has designed a creative pasta menu and to die for desserts. The seating is a little tight but still worth a visit. Man, when I think about it, it hurts so much to be away from Rio.

Stayaway - I've heard that it is one of the best Restaurants in Rio. What will an average meal to 2 (got to take a date) cost in there (with and without the wine)? It opens around 4pm right?

It cost R260 for four of us, with wine. The wine, of which we only had one bottle, set us back R60. Really inexpensive when you come to think of it. I don't know about the opening time. We went there about 9:00pm. We were one of only two parties in there at the time. But then I realized the Brazilians eat very late. They all started to come in at about 9:30 or so.

Excerpt from 2002/10 Bwana Dik’s Rio Guide 2003
Bwana's Top Ten (in no particular order):
Quadrifoglio (Rua JJ Seabra, 19, Jardim Botanico, tel: 2294-1433). Killer Italian; this upscale restaurant is a place to take a special garota. They feature wonderful fresh filled pastas and an array of marvelous sauces. Located just up the street from Termas Solarium.

Quadrifoglio is pretty nice restaurant but nowhere near world class. Fish that I tried was pretty good. The best was the complimentary soup served in tiny glass. White chocolate mousse was way too sweet, not very good. Still deserves high recommendation for Rio food fest.

I find this restaurant to be a small mom and pops high end italian restaurant. The garota's i have taken were very impressed. Its certainly a romantic place. They had a curry pasta dish that was excellent. For those familiar with Zagat's i would give it a 22 for food scale in NYC with decor slightly higher.
