Diabolique (Av. NS Copacabana, 583) is a three-bedroom apartment that is used as a brothel. I've seen the word "termas" used to describe it but the only facility there is a regular bathroom with a shower. The girls and patrons hang out in the living room, and eventually trips are made to one of the bedrooms. Don't expect fresh linen. This place is more on par with what you get in Brazil outside of the high-end termas scene. A visit will run about R$70 total, and the prices of drinks are not jacked up. The girls were morenas with a few blacks. Most looked like regular girls you'd see around town, but one or two had that gaudy whore look you see all over Latin America.

I went once and got along great with my girl: it was like playing hooky from high school and meeting a Puerto Rican girl on the subway and going to her house while her parents were out and fucking our brains out. I still can't believe how impressed she was by the R$10 tip I gave her.

Don't expect any English here. There are a few I'd like to go back and do, but one of the things that bothered me is it looked like the shower didn't get much use by the girls. If your Portuguese is at least navigable you may want to drop in just for a drink some bored afternoon (no cover charge, just cost of the drinks) and see the girls.

There are two 583's on Av. NS Copacabana. One is a building that houses diabolicks and the other is a mall. If you're being dense as I was one trip, you'll find yourself wandering around the mall looking for suite 203.

I didn't change into a robe as it was old and they had no flip-flops above size 41. There were only three girls as it was Sat. (8 girls during the week). Two were very black and overweight. The other was a morena with a nice body who would not be out of place at 4x4 if it wasn't for two sizeable scars on her knee and arm from a motorbike crash.

It's a bit disconcerting sitting on your own in this bright, fairly crappy living room as opposed to a boite. All 3 were friendly but not as touchy-feely as in a regular Termas.

It is in room 203 or 204 (I get these confused; the other room number also contains a massage, although it might advertise as a supposed terma. One thing I don’t particularly like at Diobolicks is that they tend to try to gouge us foreigners. The last time I went there they tried to get around R$60 for half an hour, after making my way to the exit, one of the garotas said something about a promotion, and by the time I was done I got a session for R$30 for 20 minutes. I suspect that Brazilians, or foreignerswho want to negotiate hard, can pay around R$20 for 20 minutes, although it is possible that R$30 for 20 minutes is the best we can reasonably do. If you don’t like what you find at Diobolicks, you can try the Copacabana terma (although it may now have another name) on the same floor. I, however, did not find anything I liked at that terma on my one visit there.

Here's a tip for you guys to have a great time in Rio without spending a lot of cash. This is about a 10-minute walk from Help and Meia Pataca. Heading up Avenida Nossa Senora Copacabana in the direction of the Meridian Hotel, check out buidling 583 (on the right: you will find Diabolicks, a semi-professional "short-time bar" on the 2nd floor, sala 204. Usually has 5 or 6 girls and always one or two hotties. 20 minutes will cost you 40 Reais. Very friendly! A step up in terms of style is Termas Copacabana in the same building, same floor, sala 203. It's very professional and they charge 15 Reais admission. Nice girls, some blondes, some very dark-skinned ones, and nice rooms. Price for a 30 min. experience is R 50. Definitely recommended!

YMMV. In my visits the places looked more like the waiting room of a dentists office. More snaggletoothed lipo-needin mulheres than anything else. No prizes. The blonde in the massage place at 203 is mebbe a 7 tho. AND the room there is A/C, a definite plus.

Yes, if you don't insist they don't tell you the lowest rate. Have not been there in a while, but you can bet that you can get something for R$ 40, most likely for 30. R$ 20 was a very rare event over the years.
