There is a security with one or two of the escort agency links associated with Rio.

I forget which agency it is, but everytime I look at escort links for Rio, my computer becomes infected with popup ads. On one of my computers, I am now not able to delete the popups.

I have checked "add / remove" programs in "Control Panel" also, and have found programs installed there that I do not know where they have come from.

Anyway, this crap that is associated with my computer seems to happen with web site associated with escrot agencies in Rio. There is also one in Buenos Aires that seems to do this also.

Just a warning guys. The Internet is a dangerous place.

Do you use Gator? I had a friend that refused to get rid of this spy-ware. Now his computer constently gets this shit installed on it.
Like you say it's hard to find the stuff with the way they hide it.

Anything that comes from gator is EVIL….EVIL…..EVIL….. don’t let it install anything on your computer.

To avoid getting this spy shit on your computer and to get rid of it once its there you should get Ad-Aware 6. This will find all of that hidden shit and allow you to get rid of it. The basic version is free. If you pay for an enhanced version you can let it run in the background and it will catch spy wear before it has a chance to install itself. The free version has to be run every once in a wile to check for anything that may have been installed.

Her is the URL: http://lavasoft.element5.com/software/adaware/

Another good (free) program is Spybot Search And Destroy. In tests it has shown to be even better than Adaware. What I like about it is that not only will it show you the crap but it will also tell you what the crap actually is, who put it there, and what they want to do with it on your computer. The first time I tried it I did a sweep using Adaware and found nothing. With Spybot Search And Destroy I found over 30 hidden spyware pieces in my registry and elsewhere.

I just had my friend run Spybot Search and Destroy. It found 366 hidden spyware pieces on his computer. Anyway he is thankful for the Spybot suggestion, and now realizes how evil Gator is.

Spybot finds all kinds of stuff that adaware did not find on my machine.

Thanks Tight_Fit.
