Any input on this hotel ??? Girl friendly, rooms, rates, location, etc.

The only things I can add on this hotel are - yes its girl friendly
and it has ocean views.

Does anyone have recent specific info on this hotel ?

The Orla is a very nice, almost new hotel. For my early January stay here, Bobby scored a US$85 rate for a superior room, and the next day I moved to a standard room for US$65.

They charge 50R per guest unless you register a double and include the girl's name upon registration. Make up a girl's name, pick a common one, and you may be able to pass each night. It worked for me, I just gave the guy a look at night like "this is NAME, she's on the room list, we're together!" and said "she's registered with me, it's NAME" and he let me pass so I never paid this fee for my 3 nights of doing it.

There is a very small pool and deck and workout room on the 13th floor. I never used it, but I did go up there to check out the amazing view - great for sunset.

I don't think that the Orla is guest friendly anymore. I sent in a reservation request, asking about their guest policy and was told that they had no rooms available.
