It is in Rio, about 3 blocks away from Mab's resturant. I would rate the hotel a 3 star, on the American scale for " the Nessess" cleanliness, friendliness, and forgiveness. The staff is warm and accomdating and is good with English. The rates were R 40 for a room and R 65 for a suite, although the suite consisted of a little more room and a mirror behind the bed and a flashing disco ball light.

The hotel was girl friendly, not charging any additional costs for any garotas we brought in. The girls would also have to sign in, and the front desk would call the room the check on you after the girls had departed.

As for forgiveness, I brought 2 girls with me on my last evening walked past the manager, he said hello and we started having fun in my room, then an hour later he calls to inform me that the second girl would add an extra charge to my room....after telling him of my ignorance of this policy, he backed off and said he should have informed me of their policy and didn't charge me the extra fee.

The only real disappointment with the hotel were the mattresses on the beds, they left alot to be desired, one of my regulars complained that she couldn't sleep on it and left me a bit early. I can't blame her, it did get a little old.
