Anyone had any luck getting frequent flyer miles on Priceline even though they say you cannot get any.

I would appreciate knowing how you did it.

Thanks.

No luck at all for me on United when I went to BA. They must have a programmed block on it in their computer system and they know where you bought the ticket.

I even got the guy at the counter to enter my mileage plus number when I checked in. Same thing for the return trip and the computer spat it out both times that I was no eligible. Damn smart computers! Hope for a virus! j/k :-)

Same with hotwire.
It didn't even show a detail flight on my UAL account.

Try flyertalk.com and do a search in the AA/UA/CO forums. The general consensus is that most of these type of tickets don't earn miless although there are exceptions. Hardly surprising really.

IMO the $$ saved isn't worth the loss of miles particularly with elite bonuses, and a potentially unpleasant itinerary.
