This one is in Niteroi on Rua da Conceiçao,132 in downtown. It wasn´t difficult to get to. There is a van that goes there that makes stops along NS Copacabana. The cost is 3.50R. There are also 2 buses, #´s 740 and 741 that go there from Copacabana( or it just might be from the Leme section of Copa, not really sure on this one). I got off at the third stop in Niteroi in the centro not because that was where I should have gotten off but because I was just winging it. I walked around a bit and first went to the museum of Contemporary Arts(which was closed) and then took a taxi from there.
The setup in termas excentric is a little different. You don´t change into a robe; you just go in in your street clothes. You pay up front entrance fee of 10r. If you wish to go with a girl it is 80r for a cabine for 40 minutes and 100r for a suite for an hour. There are only 2 suites so you may have a wait as I did. That was ok with me as the girl I selected(Thais, who originally worked at Solarium and has a major bunda of 107cm-about 42in) gave me a 1/2 hour´s worth of lap dance inside the boite before the suite became available. There were about 25 garotas in the place. The generally quality being somewhat lower than a place like Luomo, but there were several doable ones. It was about 1130pm when I got out and I was going to take a ferry over to Centro but I got lazy and had the taxi take me back to Copacabana. That stung a little as the meter rung up to 55r. Oh well.

It´s still there and it´s worth a visit if you are in the area. You stay in your street clothes and pay a R$15 admission fee. Time with the girls wil run R$80 (30 min), R$100 (40 min), or R$130 (60 minutes). If you go for the hour, ask for the suite or you may not get one. The usual drinks are available - I´m not sure the exact breakdown but 3 beers (small glasses - chopp), one Red Bull, and 1 Diet Coke totaled R$16 - reasonable enough. We arrived at 7 p.m. on a Monday night and it was a little slow - only 11 girls and 1 other customer. As we left, around 9:15 p.m., I´d guess there were around 25 girls - didn´t count them. These gals will compare favorably with any club you´ve been in. I recommend a young hardbody named Paty. Flat stomach and not the usual grande bunda (which I was happy about). Paty was a strong performer - she kept me on the edge for a long time - not a clock watcher. And My buddy took a more typical looking brasilian gal and he was also pleased.
The facilities were a bit dated but OK clean - towels wrapped in plastic - that helps! Like I said, worth the trip.

Yes it's open 6pm M-F but doesnt get going until 9pm. Entrada r25 com 5 choppes. 15 gdps, they said mouth kissing was not allowed in the boite. Did a session w/ the only good looking one that nite imho. Service was gfe + gk. She said the place closes 5am. R90 30min, 110 45min, 140 hr, pay 1st, not sure if those were higher Carnaval prices.

Obrigado Blissman. It has been good times traveling 9 countries in the last 9 months. One of my best finds in Rio was a new, young spinner at a r1/minute place who´s more attractive than 90% of the gdps at the top termas.

If one happens to be in Niteroi also check out MAC - Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Niterói, the white structure on the edge of the beach cliff that looks like a UFO. Admission is r4. Most go there to see the bldg architecture. www.macniteroi.com.br

The prices are what Zoner says. It is 25R to get in, it includes 5 Chopp's which you can give to the garotas if you want.

Before taking the girl to the room, you have pay upfront. There is a surcharge for using a credit card of 10%. Also, if you leave the place and want to pay additional with a credit card the minimum is 60R + 10%. So, you have to bring cash to this place.

The place is somewhat of a dump. It has no energy like a place like 4x4. Rooms are real shitty. There are a handful of doable girls. 2 girls told me they used to work at 4x4 and were decent looking.

The vans run until about midnight to get back to Copa/Ipanema. It costs 5R. Additionally, you could take Bus #100 from the main terminal back to centro. I think it is like 2.60R. Or there is the ferry as well. Catching a taxi would cost at least 50R back over to Copa/Ipanema.

I've never seen that scenario happening because I think anyone going to a termas or mongering will usually have access to cash.

Seriously, I think you would be highly encouraged to find some form of currency or specie to hand over. The first stop would be an ATM machine, the second would be your hotel or apartment. Eventually you would pay.

A friend of mine was R$50 short at Solarium one night. The male manager loaned him R$20 for a cab home. He paid him back the next day (he had forgotten his wallet and did not realize it).

This happened to me a couple of times because my credit card was rejected. I neglected to inform the card company that I would be in Brazil -- big mistake, not to be repeated. Well, I was short 50-100 reais both times. The manager made a deal with the taxi drivers to pay him what I owed, and I would pay the taxi driver what I owed when I got to the apartment. Of course, I gave the taxistas a little propina for the inconvience. This seemed to be a routine solution. A ride to an ATM or apartment--same solution.
