Open Mon-Friday from 14:00-24:00
Rua do Rosario 65 - Centro
Rio de Janerio - Brasil
Tel 21-203-1338
This terma is located in Downtown Rio about 1 block from Termas 4x4.
There are alot of similarities between 4x4 and 65. Both have lots of girls and are geared primilarily to locals. Many locals seem to come in after work, have a few drinks, then head out. Note: For some reason, they seem to miss the all important step of heading off to the room with a girl; he he - more for me. Lots of young cuties here.
Another commonality with 4x4 is since it is downtown once the working class guys arrive the place is packed so try to beat the rush & you'll probably have a better time.
I have a card that claims 80 girls (er lindas recepcionistas). Seemed closer to about 40 when I was there.
There actually appears to be a restraurant but I'm not sure why one would eat here. Perhaps a chance to see your girlfriend while she is working?
One of the nicer web sights that I've seen
www.termas65.com.br
Since there are lots of attractice young things here, I like this place alot & shall be returning soon. In fact, somehow I found one of the "recepcionistas" in my hotel bed at 10am the next day. Great way to start the morning.

I should have mentioned that current costs are 185, 230, 295 for cabine, suite, or jacuzzi suite. That includes the fee for the door charge & the girl.
Don't ask me why but they only take American Express & Visa. Or cash of course.

YT,
What I found to be really cool in the termas is to order a small appetizer from a girl that you like who is sitting next to you. She'll get up and get it for you and then she will seductively feed it to you. I just find this really pleasurable.

Terma 65 is right in the middle of downtown. Coming back is easy by bus, look for a bus with copacabana sign on main street. Going to the terma, for newbies I'd advise taking a cab.
There were about 30 garotas the other day, I'd say setup is a notch below Solarium and Rio Antigo.

I tried this teen model looks alike blonde Sharon, ex Centaurus, shows up at Help on some nights she says.
5'3, 115#, bit of baby fat.
Looks: 7.0
Overall: 10.0-
Very good kisser, loves everything, only negative was covered bj. We used the whole 40 mn non stop kissing and fucking.

I did not like terma 65 like I did Rio Antigo, Solarium or Centaurus. Plenty of garotas in the 30 to 40 late afternoon but no 9 or 10 in line up. The cabin was very cold and dark. I did not like the condom they used but maybe I was too tired. It is a building in downtown Rio so cabins are upstairs and you need to use elevator to get there. Bathroom was fairly clean but nowhere the high class feel of other termas. The thing that was different at 65 is that we were the only foreigners as hombres were mostly businessmen after day at work. The name 65 comes from the address as it is located at 65 on Rua Rosario.

Funny story - After I had gone to 4x4 a couple of times, I decided to try to find Termas 65. I knew that Terma 65 was located one street over from 4x4 & the building # was 65. Well, one trip I decided to go to Termas 65 and to make a long story short I apparently walked a block in the wrong direction and ended up in some low end termas (thinking that was Termas 65 - it really was a scary place and empty to boot); I couldn't understand why I kept hearing guys say that they loved Termas 65.
On my last visit, I finally found the real Termas 65, really enjoyed it & it is on my must visit termas list. Of course, that list would also include my favorite Solarium.

Was the selection different from your last trip in Nov or many familiar faces???

YT,
Don't know if you had time for swimming at 65, but it has IMNSHO the best jacuzzi suites that I saw last time. Watch out for the door to the jacuzzi room. The glass was so clean that I walked into the door and my receptionista had to provide mouth to mouth resusitation. Maybe you want to walk into the door too.
By Youngtom on Sunday, February 10, 2002 - 08:41 am: Edit |
Gitano - I planning on putting my swimming career on hold until the end of the week, it seems like whenever I swim I come down with the gripe.
Athos - selection was very good. I'll be waiting at the door when they re-open. And ónce I find a girl, I'm heading for the swimming pool.

Here are some directions to Termas 65 if you were taking the bus from Copacabana. Catch Central bus on Ave Nossa Copacabana. Bus takes a left onto Pricess Isabella & goes thru tunnel. Shortly thereafter bus ends up speeding along the coastal road (it is called Ave Infante Henrique here; not Atlantico like in Copacabana) for about 10 minutes or so. As the bus approaches downtown/Airport Santos Dumont, it gets off the expressway on Ave Beira Mar & goes local. You will past Termas Aeroporto on Ave Beira Mar & then the bus will take a right onto Ave Pres. Antinio Carlos after 1 block. Termas 65 is located about 12-13 blocks straight ahead on Ave Rosario (when you pass Palacio Tiradentes you are about half way to Termas 65). Take a left onto Rosario & Termas 65 is located maybe 75 yards ahead on the left hand side of the street. Address – Ave Rosario #65
If you want to get to termas 4x4, then rather than taking the left on Rosario, you go 1 block further along Ave Pres. Antonio Carlos then take a left onto Ave Buenos Aires then go down maybe a couple of hundred yards & it is located on the right side of the street – Ave Buenos Aires #44.
Generally these directions would apply to taxis as well but sometimes they’ll take a slightly different route.

Checked out 65 the yesterday. There are 80 girls there. Quality was not what Solarium/cent. in Jan. It took me awhile to chose. There are only about 3 I wanted.

In the Athos' photo that Hombre just added to the top of the thread, I believe that I am the blurred out object just to the right of the 5 in 65. If my memory is correct Athos is the blurred out object on the far left & Gitano was in the middle. I believe that we were all proudly holding up our Termas 65 receipts in the photo.

For some reason, the locals call termas 65 "meia cinco".
By Dood on Tuesday, June 11, 2002 - 12:34 pm: Edit |
Means "middle of 5" no clue why they call it that though.
By Gitano on Tuesday, June 11, 2002 - 06:35 pm: Edit |
YT,
The foto was taken with my camera and I mailed it to you and Athos. I am to the right of the 65 and you are in the middle.
By Stayawayjoe on Tuesday, June 11, 2002 - 07:00 pm: Edit |
Yt,
Do not say seis when you mean six. No one will understand you. Cariocas, and other brazilians, say meia for six because six is half(meia being the word for half) of a dozen, hence my address would be meia e sete e cinco, not seis e sete e cinco(675).
By Youngtom on Wednesday, June 12, 2002 - 12:54 am: Edit |
Stayaway - that was my guess (I knew meia was half) but any idea why brazilians use such a vague expression for six). In english, we say we'd like a half dozen eggs; we don't say we'd like half eggs. Just curious if anyone knows more about the origin of this colloquialism.
By Sakebomb on Saturday, August 24, 2002 - 04:53 pm: Edit |
there were about 30 garotas and two were doable. one had an obnoxious perfume smell so my sidekick left empty to 4x4. the ratio was running even.
i really don't know if we are visiting the same termas or not, but every termas we have been to the ratio was running even. in case of 4x4, run that 3to1 male2female.
By Gitano on Sunday, August 25, 2002 - 06:55 am: Edit |
Sakebomb,
Sounds like you are hitting the termas at night. They get crowded, especially on Friday. My friends and I prefer to go late afternoon about 4 PM or so. Usually we are leaving before 8 PM, when the crowd is getting annoying.
By Youngtom on Sunday, August 25, 2002 - 09:13 am: Edit |
Great point Gitano. And 4x4 and Termas 65 get incredibly crowded after the locals get off from work - at that point all the good looking garotas tend to be occupied arriba. Other termas get busy later as well but probably not to the extent of 4x4 and Termas 65.
By Athos on Sunday, August 25, 2002 - 10:11 am: Edit |
I agree too when I go for late afternoon, the ratio is at least 3 females, more like 5, per customer at various termas. The best is to go when the ratio is even higher like 10 to 1 or the whole club for yourself.
By Sakebomb on Tuesday, August 27, 2002 - 04:52 pm: Edit |
Gitano, we usually hit the termas around 4-5pm after sending home the overnighter. We stayed at each terma for 3-4hrs shagging 2 garotoas each then moved on to the next one.
Yesterday, we went to Centaurus at 5pm (they open at 4pm) and there were 9 guys including the two of us and 7 garotas in the boite plus 5 unavailable garotas in the greeting room. At 7pm on the ratio was 1.5:1 - garotas:mongers. Selections at Centaurus really picked up yesterday compared to the 1st two times we visited. Best selections in my 10days in Rio. We flew out at 1100pm and wished it was like that every day for the last 10days. Damn, thing always got good when you leave town.
By Kidcisco on Tuesday, August 27, 2002 - 10:08 pm: Edit |
Well, Sakebomb that's right! it always be like that, things do get good when you are ready to leave, sometimes it take you that long to find your way around what time to hit the termas, reach place have the best girls, finding out about the price of the girls etc.
That's why I always have a back up plan to stay a extra 3 to 4 days whenever I go to RIO I learned my lesson many years ago, because know matter how long I plan on staying in RIO, I ALWAYS NEED A FEW MORE DAYS, when things start to pick up around the city.
Kidcisco
By Youngtom on Wednesday, August 28, 2002 - 08:55 am: Edit |
Good point Cisco - depending on when one arrives in a termas, one's experience can be as different as night or day.
For example at 4x4 - arrive at 2pm (sometimes only a few not so attractive girls - I'm leaving and going somewhere else) , arrive 3:30 (mostly girls - some very attractive), 4pm (more girls - it is rocking), 8pm (all the girls are upstairs - occupied & there are 1000 sweaty guys standing around - this place sucks).
Since this was the 65 thread, I should have given a example at 65 but I always get there at the same time so I don't have a good 65 example.
And the same thing is true of all the termas. Figuring out when to get there & whether there are great looking girls if one only waits for 20 minutes is hit or miss for a newbie. A vet knows (though trail & error) that he is too early so he has a drink and chills.
By Athos on Wednesday, August 28, 2002 - 10:05 am: Edit |
SB
This is too weird man...my experience at Centaurus, 5 guys 30+ garotas from 5:00 to 7:30 pm.
By Sakebomb on Wednesday, August 28, 2002 - 01:21 pm: Edit |
It doesn't take a genious or a vet to figure out which one is the best terma or which one has the best looking girls in Rio if you enter a terma at 4pm and hang out at each boite at least 3hrs everytime. If there're hot girls, they would emerged from the cabine or suite during that 3hrs span. Am I right?
There is no one terma better than the other, but here is my order of preference based on at least two visits:
4 por 4 (my daytime house in Rio)
Centaurus
Monte Carlo
L'uomo
Solarium
Boites:
La Ciciliona (my nighttime pad in Rio)
Outside Help Disco (dude...that is really sad!!!)
Barbarella (house of cunts)
Inside Help Disco (dude...it gets pathetic)
I don't recall how many times we repeated that "Quatro Por Quatro" theme on our flight back to the US. We almost made a Hip(i) Hop(i) song out of it.

Can Terma 65 be reached by the subway? What stop do you get off at?
By Athos on Monday, October 14, 2002 - 12:44 am: Edit |
Exit on Uruguaiana metro stop, Buenos Aires (4X4) and Rosario (65) will be a couple of blocks south. Termas are located east towards the ocean.
You should check a map before using metro.
By Hombrecito1 on Monday, October 14, 2002 - 02:24 am: Edit |
Good question. Check the site to find out where in Copa you get on the metro-that may be posted somewhere. Then get a map inside the metro to find out what lines get you to Uruguaiana. I would then have a detailed map of downtown when you get off the subway. 4x4 is not marked well, but if you find R. Buenos Aires, you'll find it. 65 is caddycorner 1 block and has a better sign. I'd also print off Dood's map for downtown.
For my return trip I'll try to post directions to the nearest station, best subway lines to use, and approximate time to get there verus a taxi. It almost has to be faster than a taxi.
By Sbronx77 on Monday, October 14, 2002 - 07:36 am: Edit |
Athos, HC1: The question: Is the Copa Metro station open [Cardeal Arcoverde]? If not, the closest would be the Botafogo station. I'm thinking of taking the Metro to 4x4 and T65.
By Stayawayjoe on Monday, October 14, 2002 - 08:07 am: Edit |
Arcoverde is always open except on Sundays(all metros are closed on Sundays) in which case you wouldn't need it since the downtown termas are closed on weekdays.
Hombrecito is correct. If you are going downtown it is quicker, much quicker than a taxi. Because of the traffic it could take as long as 1/2 hour to 40 minutes at a cost of 15 reals or so. The metro takes about 15 minutes max and costs 1.30 reals.
Rio Antigo terma can also be reached by metro. You would get off at the GLORIA stop and walk up Augusto Severo about 100 meters or so.
By Athos on Monday, October 14, 2002 - 10:55 am: Edit |
Arcoverde is the metro stop north of Luomo, am I correct?
By Iggy on Monday, October 14, 2002 - 12:32 pm: Edit |
yes. arcoverde is onthe rua barata ribeiro so far the only station on copacabana.next to open will be toneleiro, but when that wiil be i think nobody knows.1988 they decided to build 2 stations on copacabana.2000 arcoverde opened i think.
By Athos on Monday, October 14, 2002 - 12:45 pm: Edit |
Metro stop is a good 9 blocks from Help, so either a 10 min walk or a quick bus ride on Nossa Copa then quick walk to metro station. I personally would ride metro solely during daylight.
By Sakebomb on Monday, October 14, 2002 - 02:24 pm: Edit |
Keep your guards up as that part of town where T65 and 4por4 are located get pretty lonely after 7pm. If you don't have a sidekick, try to stick with a group of local riders as far as you can.
Watch out for the TVs around the corner of RioAnt.
By Hombrecito1 on Monday, October 14, 2002 - 02:43 pm: Edit |
There is a not so great part of town right behind Rio Antigo that I saw when I got lost while looking for it. I never saw TV's but I was there in the day and I was a little concerned walking around the side streets. You don't want to be walking around downtown much at night. I walked outside of 4x4 and 65 at 6 pm because there was still a ton of people, but it was dark or getting dark. I'd say take a taxi from downtown if it's after dark.
Same probably applies to Copa. You can walk to Centaurus, MC and Luomo from the hotels & apts around help, but I'd recommend a taxi at night. Walking to Rio Roiss and Debret from Help is probably ok, but I'm sure there are stories of guys getting robbed. I just can't bring myself to take a taxi 2 or 3 blocks.
By Athos on Monday, October 14, 2002 - 03:06 pm: Edit |
At night, I'd say do not walk nor take metro. The dangerous part of Rio is mostly north of the city where tourists never go. But outside of Copa you can be fair game.
Rio Antigo is located near a bad location.
They usually have taxicabs waiting right outside of termas or you can ask receptionist to get you a taxicab.
The big guy at Luomo always offered to call for a taxi and would accompany me till inside cab.
By rock3times on Monday, October 14, 2002 - 08:28 pm: Edit |
In front of 4x4 there is always a cab waiting even late, has the doorman called for you.
Termas 65 is devoid of taxis when it is late but tip the doormen well, they can protect you and get you a taxi from the big boulevard in front of the alley(aka rua rosario) where termas 65 located.
I am shivered when thinking about luomo after sundown, the neighborhood is scary..any close encounters with the local? beside athos, are you all accompanied by the bouncers in luomo till getting into the taxi?
FYI, I was robbed in front of Alcatraz just past the Big Bob(?) hamburger stand on the way back to Debret from Help. and you know Help is only 200 yards or so from Help..be careful
By Sphere on Monday, October 14, 2002 - 09:28 pm: Edit |
rock3times,
Alcatraz? Where you in San Francisco or Rio? lol.
Do you mean Alcazar (the restaurant a few blocks from help)?
By Youngtom on Tuesday, October 15, 2002 - 12:11 am: Edit |
Before one takes either the subway or a bus, it is a very good idea to either go with a friend or take a cab to anywhere in Rio. Once you've been there once then after you get off the train/bus, you at least know what you are looking for.
Rio is full of favelas that are tucked away in spots that you will initially be shocked to see ( go up to the roof at either the Rio Roiss or Debret or whereever & the ghettos are there). Where there is poverty; there is crime.
I personally think that one of the most dangerous areas in Rio is that area around Luomos late at night - in the day time it seems extremely safe but once the businesses close down in the early evening & that neighbor becomes deserted then I definitely fear for my life. Of course, I think that Solarium, 4x4, Termas 65 and Centarus are all better places to be (Luomos has a few hotties but there are many other better termas in Rio ) so I don't have to risk my life much in the Luoumos area. Centarus is of course over priced but there is some good action there.
There is cab stand to the right (down about 50 yards) as you step out of 65. But if the door man will get you a cab (late night any way), then that is a good call.
And of course Rock3times is referring to Alcazar. Even a rookie should be able to laugh at rock's joke. At 2 or 3am, you should take a cab after leaving Help, no matter where you are staying. Especially at the Rio Roiss or the Debret.
By Waterrat on Tuesday, October 15, 2002 - 05:01 pm: Edit |
Re Rio Antigua and safety, I agree that you should be careful in the Gloria district. It is nice during the day, but my local partners tell me that at night it is not safe. Taxis generally won't stop for traffic lights in that area after 11 pm.
As for 65 and 4x4, the taxi option is good. while it is a short walk to main streets, finding a cab there can be hit and miss.
I am careful leaving Luomo after dark, but I am not overly concerned. Grab a cab if you can find one, walk with a purpose, and be alert. Unless you leave after 10 you should still find a number of grocery stores that are still open. Walk closer to these crossing the street if necessary - that also give you a chance to see if you are being followed and remember - light=safety.
By rock3times on Tuesday, October 15, 2002 - 11:41 pm: Edit |
The doormen( bouncers) at every termas are your friends. They are maybe former gangmembers since they look so mean, however, they are there to protect you in the immediate front of the termas. Befriend them well and tip them well. I tip them 10 reiais ( a royal sum of money in rio) when think about 1,000 dollars I have in pockets
Do not be pennywise but dollars foolish..take a cab
By Trex701 on Friday, November 15, 2002 - 07:58 pm: Edit |
when should you tip the doormen(bouncers) and is 10 reals the normal tip.

I'd do 5...the one's you really want to take care of are the women in the locker room...I've had more than one kind lady reward my tips by returning lost/left behind items to me (from watches to cameras to phones)...they're worth their weight in gold and do a helluva lot more than open a door or put you in a cab...
By The_Artist on Saturday, November 16, 2002 - 10:54 am: Edit |
I totally agree with Rexxx on this one. Being nice and tipping the locker room babes pays big dividends. These are women you really want on your side.Five R is usually enough although a bigger tip is indicated for some special service
(like returning lost items). I make frequent trips to the locker room to pick up and drop off equipment and supplies and it is a big help to be on good terms with these women. I guess most of the Brazilians treat them like furniture and a little kindness goes a long way, Most of them seem to like a little flirting as well.
