Can anyone recommend clubs in BA to mingle with non-pro women? I´m particularly interested in the over-30 crowd.

Depends on what kind of music you like (techno, salsa, tango, etc).
If you like salsa, read some of my postings from 5 months ago. If you like techno/electronic/etc, there are some postings in this section, with links to websites.

Sorry its a bit late.... but here's some info on some good non-pro clubs to go to. I am working in Buenos Aires and will be here for 6-12 months, so have had to find alternative places to go to than black, Madaho's, Affaire and the rest.... or else I might do myself an injury!
Non pro clubs tend to get going early in the morning around 2 or 3 am, in some of the good ones you can eat there first, and at around 1 or 2am they pack away the tables to reveal the dance floor! There are some really good clubs along the "Costenra" (Coast Road) near the domestic flight airport, but it all depends on what kind of music you like.
Tequila is probably the most popular at the moment with the trendy set, with lots of beautiful people everywhere! Its not that big, so they turn people away for silly reasons, just like everywhere else in the world, tryng to keep themselves exclusive! But don't worry, locals don't tend to drink that much in clubs, so just say your are english / american and they will let you in with no problem, they want you to spend your dollars!! Entrance is 30 pesos and spirit drinks are 20 pesos. Music is pretty much just contemporary house mucic, with the odd rnb track thrown in.
Pacha is also out on the "Costanera" and draws a similar crowd, but the music is less commercial and you will see the odd UK Dj there. Hernan Cataneo is resident here. If you have been to Pacha in Ibiza or Madrid, you really should go here. Some great looking women here!
Another good place is Asia de Cuba near the new Hilton in Puerto Madero. Is pretty much like the other AdCs in London and New York, but you have a lot of beautiful Argentine women here! They have podium dancers, and the odd fashion show before the night gets going, and even dancers that hang from the ceiling on ropes that are pulled accross the room (difficult to descibe, so you will just have to see for yourself!). Entrance is 25 pesos, which includes a national drink. And spriti drinks range from 12-20 pesos, depending on what brand you go for.
Also try Rumi.
They party hard in BA, and the clubs go on pretty late til 6/7 in the morning. As I said they tend to start late as well, eating dinner around 12 midnight, having a few drinks and then on to a club.
Places to miss are Mint, you may here its very popular, but you need to be a 19 yr old student who likes warehouse raves! Also BA news, i hear was once good, but is bit tried now, there are much trendier places to go.
If you are in BA for a good length of time, I would highly recommend these clubs as an alternative to the pro-clubs! The women are often better looking and if you are lucky you will only have to buy them drinks in return for some action! And don't forget your dollars go a long way here, so its very easy to party on very little cash!!

Benejo,
If you really want over 30, try Verde on a Saturday night. It is across the street from Cutty Sark, and the ladies range all the way up to 50+ in that place.
Have fun,

I understand that each of these places has their night, and the other nights are much lesser (regarding hot girls).
For example, Tequila is better on Tue or Wed (only one, I don't remember which)... and for Asia de Cuba it's Wed or Thu (again, I can't remember which). Like the rest of the upscale party world (e.g. Miami, NYC, L.A. for U.S.) the hottest place in town refers to only one night, and the place may be quite lame on other nights.

Flhobbyer, you are quite some of these clubs have their off days during the week. Asia de Cuba is good on Wednesday's but tends to be private parties so if you don't book a table you are unlikely to get in. Its also worth checking out some of the "happy hour" nights, where the clubs during the week open at 7pm and finish around 1/2am. Opera Bay (the old Divino) in Puerto Madero has a great "happy hour" night on wednesday's. But as winter is drawing in people are apparantly going now to Museum instead.
Henry J Beans in Recoleta is alos packed on thursdays from 8pm.

I was in BA in April and in June. A good non-pro club is the Kilkenny in Retiro(M.T. Alvear and Reconquista). It is open every night, but the best nights for girls are Friday and Saturday. The crowd is 20s to 30s and the best time to go is between 12 and 2. After 2 it thins out quick. Around one there is usually some type of happy hour special. Also, there is a large number of working girls mixed in with the non-pros. You can usually pick them out of the crowd. One word of caution is that if you don't like crowds, this is not the place for you. However, I've always had a good time. Cheers and good luck.

Anyone know of any non-pro websites that have discussion boards about finding good clubs, hotels, food, etc, from a traveler prespective?
