I've saved, researched and planned for a year, and now in 7 days I leave for Brazil. I'll only be in Rio about 4 days and have arranged for someone to help me get to know the ropes. What I'm wondering about is the following 8 weeks that I will spend traveling up through Brazil and Venezuela. I would like to hear more from anyone on the "monger" scene in cities like Campo Grande, Corumba, Belem, Santarem, Manaus and up through Venezuela. I read that taxi drivers are always good to talk to. Can anyone tell me anything about what to expect in these places?? Thanks.

There are some web sites lited for Caracas here. Also, some of the escort sites for Brazil have multiple cities that they service. You should check those out.
