I was in Uruguay during high season (Dec/Jan), and passed on PDE because it was way over my budget. From what I´ve come up with, PDE action is filet mignon prices. The cheaper stuff supposedly is in Maldonado (sp?).
I spent a few nights in Montevideo and did some cheap houses, then cut out for Buenos Aires. MV is pretty dull -- like why hang out in Oakland when you can cross the Bay to San Francisco (or Hoboken to NYC)?
You may want to check the climate: June here is like December in the US. I was in La Paloma (a little north of PDE) most of December, and the damned wind off the ocean was constant. That, and lack of pussy, can wear a man down.

pde not a good choice for p4p, seasonal (dec-feb), small quantity & expensive (tourist prices). Though lots of nonpros, vacationers party at the bars several km NE of pde but open only during the high season. Beaches ok, low-season empty. For scenic views go to Casa Pueblo in Punta Ballena, due west fr pde.

I am planning on going to Punta Del Este the end of February or the start of March. I am bringing a lady friend so please let me know what else is good in Punta Del Este. Looking for a place to stay, places to go out and eat. Best way to get there from B.A.
Is there still a lot of people there that time of year ?

Take Buquebus boat from BA to Montevideo. From there, take bus to Punta Del Este.

Fr BA took buquebus rapido boat (www.buquebus.com) to Colonia del Sacramento, a World Heritage site, for couple days. then COT bus to montevideo (2.5hrs) for a wk. later COT bus to pde (2.5hrs). buquebus also goes directly to montevideo as posted by Quilombo.
dont remember the name of the restaurants & hotel. there are several along the beach. pde has a tourist office at Baupres & Inzaurraga, & oficina de informes at calle 22 & calle 23.

In Punta del Este, Casa da Nana.
P$ 1000 15 minutes, P$ 1500 half hour. That is about 50 dollars. Girls very friendly. Covered BJ is the norm, girls are very skilled putting the condom on with their mouth.
They first qouted a bit higher gringo price
I am quite picky, but I found plenty of girls that met my specs.
You get ripped off by the taxi rides, though. But, heck, it is 10 or 20 dollars.
