First, just a comment, the diference between a prive and a MP, is that a prive is purely for sex and makes no pretense of ofering you a massage. Pretty much an old-fashioned whorehouse.

Now, from Forum SexDicas, I found out that there are some new, good Prives in Santa - North Zone of Sao Paulo (as opposed to Rio, SP's Zona Norte is relatively safe, you can get there by Metro).

You may want to check out Athos's Sampa 101 Guide.

You can do a search for Brazil Reports from the Trip Report tool or search for reports by Athos. I think the report was written in December of 2002.

I don't think you want to try Prive as it might not be your cup of tea. Best bang for your bucks in SP are middle tier MPs like Clinica Antares and Alternativ. Free lance escorts. After 19:00 head to a boate, somehow action is early in SP, go to Bomboa. Miruna 644, Connection, Cafe Millenium.
If you want to spend too many reals go to W, Cafe Photo, Romanza too. W is bbbj but too expensive. Cafe Photo, you have to bring your game.
Top tier mp's include FranceBel, CelCenter, head there if you don't mind paying top and probably get cbj.
If you have more time head to Kilt area, Vagao Plaza has some decent girls. Bit sleazy area.
If you are a late night partier, go to Love Story which does not start till 3:00 am.
There's a bunch of other places Amsterdam, Donna Cafe...on and on but that covers main outlets.
If you have even more time, you may want to drive to Campinas on Saturday and head to Fazendihna. Weekends are poor in SP so you need to plan ahead.

I was perusing the prive section on gpguia, and I see this prive, R. Pitangueiras 125 - Pç da Árvore, that gets a 7.6 rating that seems to be in the Clinica Antares area. The preco is 20R for half an hour and 40R for an hour. There are more like this (an endless supply) for more or less the same price. What can I expect for my hard earned $8 or $15? Do I have to walk in with much lowered expectations? Undoubtedly, a yes in the gp looks department, but in the gp service department and also cleanliness of the room, as well? Thanks.

Interestingly, I now notice that someone already hit this particular place and reported that it was, quite literally, a dog pound. It's amazing how this place could get a 7.6 rating. Athos's theorem, which states that we can subtract 3 from brasileiro ratings holds true, again.

I believe I was the one who reported on the dog pound. However, I found it to be aberrational in that other prives that have gotten high ratings on gpguia seem to live up to their ratings. While I have gone to a few other prives in the R$20 range that had more to offer than R. Pitangueiras, 125, as a general rule the prives that are R$60 an hour and higher are much better than the cheapest ones.

By the way, I wrote up maybe 20 or 25 prives in my Casa-mania Guide and Turk Memorial report, which unlike my Sao Paulo's Ins and Outs guide seems to have gone largely ignored.

I don't know about the newspaper. However, Alameda Jau 480 should be open Sundays (it was for the two or three years I went to that place, although I took it off my list recently). Also, www.gpguia.net is much better than the local newspapers could be for listings of prives, but is not accessible from the U.S. (but is from Brasil or Argentina).

Brasil is much better than BA IMHO. But then again, I find BA one of the worst places to monger, or do anything else other than eat steak. Perhaps if they kicked out the Argentineans and left only some of the better Paraguayan chicas in the country to satisfy mongers, I would have a different view of things. They would, however, also have to ban the tango and make the samba, or something similar, the national dance, before I would take them off the do-not-visit-for-fun list.

I cannot say for Brazil as I only was there once. I have made alot of contacts in BA so I have had good success there. Interesting enough 2 of my favorites, one is Brazilian and the other is from Paraguay. I only used outcalls in Sao Paulo so far.
