I'm working on some maps for Lima, but I'm not sure how long they'll take me to complete. In the meantime, I highly recommend the book titled "Lima Guia 2000" if you like to use maps to see where places are in relation to one another. The book is 4.5 x 6.5 inches and about .5 inches thick, small enough to fit in a jacket pocket if you have a big jacket.
The book is published out of Peru by Editorial Lima 2000. I paid about $18 US at a bookstore on the corner of Oscar Benavides and Schell.
The print is tiny, so if you have trouble reading small print, you may want to pass on this one.
The book looks like this.

I just purchased a copy of Lima X4. It is also part of the Guia family of products. The cost was about $40 with shipping.
For me, when travelling by cab, I like to know where I am going. It is a matter of personal security. And since the cabbies really do not know the destination in many cases, it is going to be a valuable asset.

RT here. Good evening.
Last week, I was driving through somewhere in Lima in a taxi, and one of the guys on the street selling stuff had Lima maps for sale.
He wanted a fortune for it, but the taxi driver talked him down to 10 Soles. It was the best three bucks I have ever spent.
It is called Guia Capital de Lima, Callao y sus distritos. The publisher is Corporacion Editora Chirre, S.A.C. I did a quick web search and couldn't find any info on the map, but you might want to look for it.
Aside from lots of helpful phone numbers, there's a map showing how all of the districts connect to each other, and a separate page for each district. Every street is marked.
Here's a picture of the map - I hope this helps someone identify it:

Copies of the map posted above are available (from me) for $5. I cornered the market here today.
Seriously, if you're going to be in Lima, this map has proved to be valuable beyond hope.
If you're interested, send me a private message.

Here is a link to a map which contains both location and description of business, resturants, etc in the Mira Flores area. Place your cursor over the various
objects shown for more info, etc. Excellent reference source for first timers.

Copperfieldkid, once again you have provided a great resource! this map site is great! I discovered the hotel I'm at is 2-3 short blocks from Pizza Alley. How cool is that!
Thanks again
