Do they bait and switch in Colombia?

I was in Bogotá a couple of months ago. I used the ecstasis.com service.

Short answer: No. Your suspicions are correct. At least based on my one encounter -- the chica that arrived at my hotel wasn’t one of the Playboy-esque beauties shown on the website.

But, fifteen minutes after my call, an attractive rubia arrived. Very light complected w. green eyes, big-chested (natural). Twenty-three years old, she said, and from Medellin. Fee quoted by phone: 50 USD. (CP quote, I think, was 120K. Good conversion rate for them.) And, same taken after services were performed.

Service a little too professional -- no kissing -- but otherwise amenable.

Note: when she arrived at the hotel room, she wanted to call the service. She asked me which service I had called. She didn’t know the number or the name. I concluded that the same chica may have arrived if I had called any of several different services.

My conclusion: A+ for convenience. But, a blind date for both parties. Great when time is limited, but I doubt that anyone whose picture actually is on the website will be showing up at your hotel room door.

I don't have any direct knowledge of these sites but if you're going to be in town you might want to check them out.

Ok...this is probably going to sound dumb but...

I have been reading a lot re Colombia on this site and it looks as if it will be my next or second to next trip. Sounds as if the chicas are beutiful and everywhere and the $ is low/reasonable.

So my question is: if the trip reports are accurate, what is the point of patronizing the escort agencies? Is the quality that much better? Or is this something that only applies to areas other than Cartagena and Cali?

Escort agencies charging north american prices for north american service vs. reports from solid board members detailing beautiful chicas, outstanding service and resonable costs. Do the math.

Escort agencies have their place. For folks that think "American owned" and "Prices are higher, but the women are the best I've seen" are going get them a better time, well, P.T. Barnum had a thing or two to say.

One has to develop their BS detectors. I have learned, the hard way, that paying big bucks to boink a prostitute from an escort service\pimp\brothel\Strip club\whatever because of non-specific promises that they are\have the best is an exercise in disappointment.

I infrequently utilize escort services while in Colombia, but when I do it's probably because I am tired and just feel like having it effortlessly brought to my door. In that situation it's a decent option to have.

I have received some good service from the girls from agencies that I have called, and have also received specific information on available services, the types of girls available, and prices upon calling. Smitopher is 100% right though, in that if the prices are way out of line and the available services are not clearly stated, it's probably aa rip-off.
