This may be a question for Hunter <g>. H, you are becoming the MDE Guru around here!
I'm leaning towards staying at the Park 10 Hotel in Poblado if Roberto's place is not available during myy travel dates. Does anyone know anything about thsi 5 star hotel? How do they react towards female guests if I register as double occupancy upon arrival?

I think the Hotel Plaza Rosa is a better hotel all around, I would not call either of them 5 star hotels though. Both are 3 to 4 stars.
Hotel Plaza Rosa will charge you 30,000 pesos for a guest, I don't know how much the Park 10 will charge you.
Both are in very good locations in the Zona Rosa area of El Poplado.

Wow - 30K pesos? You mean that it does not matter if I register as a double when I initially arrive? Geez - Now, I really hope that Roberto's place is available when I arrive - I hate dealing with that crap in hotels!

Its pretty standard in Colombia, I stayed at the hotel for 6 months and made sure that if I had visiters I wasn't charged the surcharge.
But obviously I was there for a long time so had the upper hand, the only other way I think you would possibly be able to get away with it is if you were a regular visiter.
