Fellas, just thought I'd share a little of my Rio trip from Carnaval 2004 for your entertainment, and to give myself something to compare my next trip (Nov 2005) to. I admit, the pic's are nothing like I've seen others post, but I hope you enjoy just the same:

These first three are just a sample of what was going on in the Copa area during Carnaval. I never did get out to the stadiums where I heard they had the huge celebrations but, in all honesty, I didn't go there for that.





Here we are getting started for the evening. It's been a while, but I believe this was at Frank's.

Nothing like two girls to warm things up........or so I thought. More on that in a minute.

The girl on the left in the first picture really ended up messing up my night. I took her and another girl down the street from Frank's to a place called Hotel Diplomata Copacabana. When we got to the room and got undressed, she had a lot of stubble and I wasn't down for fucking a brillo pad, so I told her she could leave. I like a girl with a bush, but either trim it up nice, or shave it all off. But, to be a nice guy, I paid her anyway. Anyhow, after I was through with the other girl we left and when we got down stairs, the first I had let go was still sitting there. All of a sudden, she starts hollering about how I hadn't paid her and she was going to call the police. I told her to go ahead. Smart move on my part, as she did. The police show up and I'm trying to explain that the girl was just burning me which, by the way, did no good as I can't speak a lick of Portuguese and he didn't understand a word of my English. So, rather than knocking the shit out of her and really ruining my trip, I reached into my pocket and pulled out all of the reais I had and threw it in her face and walked away. It turned out to be 4-$500US but, at the time I was so pissed, I didn't give a shit. Needless to say, when I returned to the same club two nights later, this bitch spent the whole night trying to hide her face, which one of my buddies took notice of. You know, while you're in the club you want to warn anybody who goes near her to stay the hell away, but I know this would just get me thrown out. However, I do have a memento from that night--the room key for room #301.

Anyhow, after this incident we went to another place (whose name I don't even recall) and grabbed some more girls and went back to the Hotel Diplomata. If I remember right, they charge about $30US for a couple of hours.

As I said, with the quality I've seen coming out of Rio I'm a little reluctant to post these pic's but, hey, it was my first time. Now, all I can say is thank God for CH; I'll know better next time. Enjoy.

It doesn't matter what pics OTHERS are posting. You had a great vacation and you shared your memories with us - that's what's important.

Too bad about the lying cunt that fucked up your night. I had one that gave me a lot of shit once and I also opted to throw money at her to make her go away. Granted, I only spend $12.50, but I understand you gotta sometimes do that shit to keep yourself sane and outta jail.

Epi, my point in differentiating what I posted versus what I see posted by others is just to note the difference in quality between a newbie's experience and that of a more seasoned veteran. As I stated in my post, it gives me something to compare my next trip to as well, a measurement to strive to exceed. In any event, I had a hell of a time no matter what. I couldn't believe the ease and comfort at which everything transpired in this place. If this existed at home, I'd never leave home. But, on the other hand, I'd probably fuck myself broke at some point too. LOL.

I have to say the unfortunate incident kind of put a damper on things, but only momentarily. How could one be in Rio and stay down for long? In the couple of years that I've been mongering I've only had a couple of setbacks (due to inexperience) so the ratio doesn't seem too bad. I imagine that as time goes by it will become much easier to filter out these types of cunts before things move too far along. I've got several trips planned this year, so I'm looking forward to making additional contributions. Thanks for the comments.

Prowler, I know exactly how you feel. My business partner and I had something similar happen to us. We'd come down off Corcovado in a little car, with 5 of us in the car. We'd been using the engine to brake, as well. We pulled into a gas station, and before we knew it, we were hit with the Brasilian equivalent of the Keystone Kops, had a guy under the car, undoing the lower radiator hose on the car. Then, when the attendent said, "Your car overheated...", we had no choice but to put more coolant into the car. Before we knew it, we had a bill of almost $80.US, and there was nothing we could do but pay it - they had it all written down, and would've called the police. What they didn't know was that my business partner, spoke almost fluent Cariocan Portuguese. He said, "What...You're not going to give me a kiss on each cheek ??" The guy got this look on his face, like "Oh shit...I messed with the wrong individual." But I can empathize with you. Unfortunately, it kinda goes with the territory at Carnavale time. Some Brasilians think they can screw the tourists, because if they screw one, and they don't come back, another person will take their place.

I have to admit though... Your taste in women, even for a newbie, was really pretty good. I wouldn't worry about what other guys post. As the old saying goes "There's a butt for every seat." As many guys will tell you, sometimes women that may not be the best looking are absolutely fantastic, because of their attitude. Take care, and just concentrate on having a good time the next time you go down to Shangri-la. Don't worry about trying to out-do your last trip.

Rickm0755, don't get me wrong, with the exception of this one incident, I had one hell of a good time! I am going back, after all.

As far as the quality of the women in the pic's, it's not that big of an issue. It's just that I have seen much, much finer women in alot of the other posts and those are the women I would have wanted. What's interesting though is that me and my buddies were supposed to go to 4x4 (we were led to believe that it was a club similar to Help and we had no clue about termas at the time) but when we hailed a taxi the driver claimed he had no idea what we were talking about. I intend to take full advantage of my next trip. BTW, what was meant by the reference to the "kiss on each cheeks" that your friend made? Thanks for the encouragement.

Milsap2005, thanks. You know, I've always been told to learn from my mistakes, which I make very effort to do. However, I was also once told it is even better to learn from the mistakes of others. I guess I just happened to be that other in this instance. In other words, you're correct, I had to take the hit this time.

I will be in RIO November 12-19, and staying at the Lancaster Othon. I got a couple of rooms reserved, and am now trying to talk my brother in law into going. If not, no problem. I started out mongering alone and it doesn't bother me to finish up alone. Maybe we can hook up at that time if you're going to be there yourself. It would be great to start putting faces to some of the names here.

Thanks for the report, Prowler, I believe we should share what happens, good or bad, so we can all benefit from the experiences of others.

You don't say what the cop was doing when you couldn't communicate, but that may have been a very dangerous situation for you--they believe her, not you--and it seems you were very lucky. It's always a good idea to keep your cool, expecially in a foreign country.

Me, I would have kept the brillo pad, and just had her use her tongue and/or hands. She would have kept her pride (Brasileiras are proud), and hey, there's no rule that a guy has to do both garotas. You're paying.

I don't know about the hotels you mention, but I am definitely not hot on the Lido bars--or that whole area. Try Help or Terrazo Atlantico, plenty of info about them and good hotels on the board here. And if one taxista doesn't know about "quatro por quatro," hop out and try another (or go to L'uomo).

BTW, some of your "More Girls" looked pretty hot.
