Much has been posted on this board about the girls from the state of Minas Gerais. I don't claim to know much, but I thought I'd share my experience from a recent trip there.

The capital of Minas is Belo Horizonte. I've been there, and been blown away by the beauty of the women in the malls. This trip took me to the city of San Juan del Rei, or Saint John of the King.

While there, a friend invited me to go to a club called Kalamari? anyways, it is a patio bar and disco club located at the top of a hill overlooking the city. What I found inside was very interesting...

First of all, many have circulated the myth that the female population of Minas Gerais far exceeds the number of males there. I now believe that myth. The ratio of women to men in this club on Saturday night was 70/30.

Surveying the crowd of young, available women, I quickly ascertained that the number of 'doable' garotas was 80%.

Ok, I admit... I'm an easy lay...but there were PLENTY of hotties in this bar.

Being the only gringo in the club was an interesting experience. In SPITE of the fact that I was there with a date, many girls took the opportunity to either make eye contact with me on the dance floor, or approach me with a flirtatious comment. I won't tell you what my date thought of this, but I liked it

So... anyways... suffice it to say that I will plan more excursions into the heartlands of Brasil, if only to test the theory that gringos who speak a little bit of Termaguese can make out with the locals.

Every time i have gone to Belo the ratio is def in our favor. The garotas there also say the brasileiro's there are cocky and jerks which makes it even better for us gringos. Lastly, the garotas always complain that there are so many gay guys in Belo. If you speak a bit of portuguese you should do fine in the non-pro scene. best - LB
