I did not see a thread about this hotel so I wanted to at least write something about it. I stayed here around 2 years ago for the first time and have stayed probably two or three times since then. It is on par with the Hotel Atlantico or other brazilian hotels in this price range. The difference is the price (175 reais including service for a double, vs. 220 at hotel atlantico). It is a good option if you want to pay less or if the Atlantico is full. They are very guest friendly (one guest only, an additional guest is an extra 70r or something), clean, the price includes breakfast, and it is walking distance to barbarella (although I wouldn't suggest walking there at night). Anyway, just another option for those looking for a place to stay. I don't have the address with me now but I will be staying there on my next trip so I will post some more information later.

Has no one else stayed in this hotel? I think it is the best hotel to stay in in Rio in the category (comparable to Atlantico and Princess). I am just wondering why people don't mention it the same breath with those other hotels. It is cheaper, garota friendly, very clean, nice beds, large rooms, has a pool with a bar, a restaurant, safe and minibar in the room, free breakfast with hot items, english speaking staff, cheap internet, and is walking distance to barbarella (but a little farther from the beach). I now stay here whenever I go to Rio. However, to my knowledge it does not have suites the same way as the others so if you are looking for that you are out of luck.
Anyway, here is their website.
