Just wanted to add a note regarding Parque LLeras. It's a small plaza area with adjacent restaurants / sidewalk cafes in Poblado, and it can be quite happening.

I was there on a Friday to meet a girl for a drink. I arrived at 5p and it was just picking up - I guess a happy hour type crowd. Well, the girl doesn't show until 6:30, but I was happy just hanging out as the place really filled up with tons of hotties.

The best action is the lower side of the plaza (bottom of steps) where a it meets a perpendicular street that has sidewalk joints down each side. Basilica is on the corner.

There's not much action at the upper end of the plaza, but there are three 'convenince' liquor sales window type places next to each other, thus the real young ones (under 18) gather here. But, one can buy a beer to carry, or the specialty at the first of the three places is a homemade "Mr. Popper" mix of vodka and energy drink served blender style (granita).

Especially on Saturday nite's, this is where the young and the beautiful of MDE hang out. It is the best place to girl watch Paisas. You will be amazed!

That's another benefit to staying at the Torre Poblado. It's on Cra 42, between 9th and 10th Avenue, towards the lower end of Park LLeras.

Gets pretty crowded at night, and traffic can get backed up, but I think it's a great location.

Me - no. On my last trip to CTG, it was all non-pros (from the mall, disco).

In MDE, 100% pro. Just works out that way for me.

I'm alway's on the make for a pretty girl, but when you stay in any given city for a day or two, P4P you're guaranteed a "nut" or two.

I wish I could spend more time in Colombia. So when given the opportunity, I try to split up my alway's too short visit. With day or two in CTG, and a day or two in MDE.

I always like to play the nonpro crowd. Of course, with only 2-3 nights one's success will be greatly limited - you need a few days to build a 'relationship' with her... a lunch date, a dinner date, a movie, the mall, whatever. Let's face it, 80-90% of the hotties aren't going to be a one night stand, and if you just want a 6 or a 7 I'd just do P4P.

But c'mon - the nonpros are what makes Colombia the destination that it is! If you just want P4P, Brasil is clearly a better choice (excepting CTG - which I know nothing of). It's the nonpros that differentiate Colombia from all the other places, as IMO Colombia is the easiest place of all for any flavor of gringo (fat or in shape, old or young, ugly or not) to score nonpros.

I don't mind spending more time in Brasil, and because my preferred airline and its Star Airliance does not fly directly between the U.S. and Colombia. If it did, more of my vacation time would shared in Colombia.

Colombia is my second playground, after Brasil.

Pro or non-pro, the women are gorgeous. Some of you may shoot me, but I find that the sex here is a little bit pedestrian.

Though, I love this city as it is modern, clean, safe in Poblado and have excellent restaurants at cheap prices (relatively). I think that the situation is ideal for guys looking to settle and get a LT girlfriend while still still partaking of the fruits.

The difference between Medellin and Rio (for instance) is that you need to spend more time with the girls in Medellin.

First dates are good, but second dates are great.

You just have to appear to be more than just about the sex.

Complicated, but I felt the same vibe in Panama when I was there last year.

Fuck, the girls hanging in Park lleras are incredible as far as the number of them and their beauty.

Non pros take work and you have to be willing to work. Which unless you are very good looking like one of the guys I was hanging with down there was, you have to have game (en Espanol).

That said, the good looking guy had women picking him up to take back home while others I was with had good success working the non pros.

All was fun.

In the discos, it can be hard as you need to ascertain who the chica is with. You can get yourself into trouble by hitting on the wrong girl.

I had a nice discussion with a cabbie about mongering in Medellin. He could'nt understand it. He was wondering why we were paying for girls when he suggested it was easy to get them for nothing. Well, nothing but time and a little romancing (two dates seem like the popular opinion).

When I finished with Olga, I started going after non-pros only.

One of the problems you have is that many of the non-pros don't speak any English.

My friends and I met a guy named Victor. He's a 19 year old kid that grew up in Virginia. He's perfectly honest, 100% trustworthy. My buddy that lives down there permanently is really good friends with him.

This kid has balls of steel and will walk up and talk for you to local girls. He's very unassuming and unthreatening to girls. He translates for you and will even go on the date with you to translate.

He is out of work so I encouraged him to translate for you guys at $10 an hour. He's willing to work on-call. Call him, he's worth it if you want to work non-pros. AZGuy used him as well.

Nice thing is that over the past 3 months, we have taught him where to go to find the girls we like. His knowledge of where to go is invaluable.

Use him if you want to go after non pros and don't speak Spanish. You don't need them for pros.

Non pros here are definitely the best in the world and I have been to 25 countries!

They are not the easiest, phillipines deserves that title. There you know english and you are in. I had dates there where I was making out in first 5 minutes and usually sex was first night, you just cant beat phillipines for regular non pros.

I live here and have met women virtually any place you can imagine. Although parque lleras has the most beautiful women in one spot on a good night ( no rain) it is not the best place to meet non pros. Supermarkets and Malls reign supreme here! Have to be honest you need to be a level one or two spanish here and you can do some damage. If you dont know spanish and are here just a few days, stick with the pros.
Also farther away you go from the americans here the more attraction you bring to the table. You just stand out more and the women are more curious, most of the americans are centralized in Poblado and rarely leave the poblado area. Tesoro and Oveido worst malls to meet women in Medellin although you will see some good looking ones there.
I know men that have simply waited outside the universities to meet women as they grab a bus or walk home, again knowing some spanish is necessary. If you want to meet a non pro and do not know spanish you dont have to give up, on a 2 week trip it is possible. I did it 3 years ago when I did not know any spanish, I had to have a translator with me on our dates though and constantly help me out but mission accomplished!

Call Jason or Victor for non pros. Young nice guys to hang with. Go to Parque Envigado, downtown, the metro, the malls and when you see a girl you like walk up to her and say hi, then have Vic or Jason find out the details, is she single, wants to go out with you etc. I find that I break the ice with the girls by smiling, being funny and high energy. Asking them for directions, for what food they like etc. Then apologize for my spanish not being as strong as i would like and my colombian friends will close the deal for me... also inviting them to fiesta house party and bringing their friends is great too.

Let me also recommend another friend of mine. His name is Jason. He is 25 and speaks english, it is not as strong as Victors but good enough to help you meet girls, show you around and help you with other tasks you may have. Also he can creat websites, and has a company that deals with the web and does 3d animations for real estate projects etc. He has helped me numerous times with my computer and gone with me to monterrey mall to have it built and serviced.

seems like all the translator, drivers etc quote around 20,000 pesos an hour around 9 bucs currently I would imagine you can negotiate a flat fee for the night or day. Also you have to feed them of course and pay their entry into clubs but invaluable to have a colombian with you if you want to talk to regular girls out in town or especially if you venture far away from the tourist areas, I have literraly collected hundreds of phone numbers while living here in Medellin and 10 times better when I have a colombian friend with me vs all americans.
