Sounds like there are definitely some hotties there. One of my amigos is in BA now and saw a hottie on Saturday night. She quoted 250 pesos for a short time visit and wouldn't budge. I also read about a girl that wanted 250 and wouldn't negotiate. To me, if I saw a hottie and she wanted 50 extra pesos I'd definitely go for it. It's only an extra $14 US but I understand each guy has his own budget.

Shampoo sounds like there are definitely gems but also can be hit or miss. The quality of the interior of the club has been described to me by several guys that have been there since it reopened as "nicer than Blacks without the prices of Blacks".

I hope Ezy and Nomar check it out and give us a more detailed report. I'm going down in about 2 weeks but I'd also like to live vicariously through you guys down there until I arrive. Thanks.

I´ve had some action the last days. Here come some info:

In general I believe that there are 2 overlaping effects in BA. Foreign girls disappear as they cannot change their earnings to appropriate international money any more which results in a decrease of quality. On the other hand, more and more locals are forced to go for this type of work due the desastrous economy. Finally, I believe that regarding quality there are not many changes since convertibility time.

I went to Shampoo yesterday late night. Andres, thanks for the adress (362 Quintana Av., near the corner with Callao Av.), I easily found it.

Entrance fee is 20 ARS, including one drink of your choice, they told me that I could even have champaigne, but I was with a car and only took some water. Furthermore, they served me some 5 small pieces of hot pizza which was included.

The place seems to be newly done, all the seats look quite unused. The general atmosphere is nice. There are 2 small places in the middle of the bar with nonstop girl dancing, the girls being some 8-9s, but not available. Changing any 30 minutes. Around midnight there was a strip show of 1 girl finally showing her silicone boobs.Pretty anyhow.

At 11:30, the balance girls:guys was 12:5
At 12:30, it was some 25:30

Most of the girls were deep in their 30ies. Only some 5 teens/early twens. The girls were quite reserved, nobody was strongly approached, it was all very decent and calm and you could easily sit there making your choice.

My personal opinion: Quality of girls could be better, average 7.5, only some 3 hotties for choosy flirty.

I asked one girl for prices and she started with 200 ARS for 1 h, but I believe there was some space for negotiation. However, as I was not fully interested, I didn´t try to squeeze.

I left at 1 am to Hippotamus (CLOSED!!!) and ended up in Affaire, fully packed with some 50 girls and 50 more guys. Two topless strippers, very nice.

Daytime action:

As others already wrote, the club at Corrientes/Puereydon opens already at high noon (La season?). I´ve been there twice during weekdays afternoons. Its 30 ARS entrance and there are some 6 or 7 girs working. 20 mins are 70 ARS, 40 ==>90 ARS, more possible, hotel included. Very cheap, the girls are 7-9, very cheap and recommendable. I twice had Eliana, a stunning body (162 cm) with huge real tits, nice legs and an ugly face, but very nice. She gave me great bbbj and allowed to come in her mouth. A real GFE for 70 ARS. However, I believe the other are quite good as well, the average quality is higher than in Shampoo.

Furthermore: In Callao 345, I found a small bar where the girls during daytime only wear slip and bra.

1) Try to avoid the Corrientes and Esmeralda zone. It is the most famous rip-off joint in downtown.

If you walk by Esmeralda St from Corrientes Ave. to Lavalle St. and then turn right in Lavalle (pedestrian streeet) you will see a half dozen places inviting for "drinks and girls". BEWARE! These places have the same rules as the London's Soho places: They rob you up front.

If you want to try a place in downtown, I remember a one located in Lavalle 951. It is a building with the door open, without any exterior sign. You climb the stairs to the 2nd floor (what in Argentina is the 1st floor) and you see a smoked glass entrance. There used to be few girls, really substandard, but no ripoffs nor hassles.

2) La Saison is located in Pueyrredon St. between Cordoba Ave. and Paraguay Ave. It used to be the most upscale sauna (bar with rooms) of the city. 3 years ago, entrance fee was $90 (yes, 90 Dollars just to come in). Today, things may have changed a bit.

Thanks for the tips. You seem to be keyed in fairly well there. Do you know anything about the Kareoke bars? I'm not usually into them but I know this girl who used to work at them. She claims there are some hot girls from Argentina and Brazil that work there. She claimed they were catered more towards the Asian population but said Americans also hit them. Prices seemed to be really cheap at 100 - 150 pesos for a short time visit. She did say the drinks were expensive. One of them was called Boss. The owner of that one just opened another but i'm not sure of the name. Thanks in advance for the info.

I have a good friend who used to work at the Kareoke bars, and her prime purpose was to extract as much money out of the Asian population as possible. The management treated the girls like dirt, and she is not working there anymore. They are ripoffs, so stay away. She is a beautiful girl, from Brazil, and very nice.

I visited Shampoo as promised. The description of Ezy is accurate. Each of the boliches in Recoleta (and downtown for that matter) vary on any given night. The place is clean attractive and has its pluses. The only place I did not stay for a drink in Recoleta was Closer's (the old Password). Ironically I found Playwomen to have the best talent consistently though I never took anything home from there.

I think most of us agree that Playwoman has the best talent of the Recoleta clubs. I took two from there in my short stay.

Shampoo has upgraded itself tremondously. The talent is always hit and miss, but numerous shows go on throughout the night, with some very beautiful girls and costumes. 20 pesos entrance fee, includes one drink. Other drinks are 20 pesos +/- a few. I highly recommend it.

lol...this is interesting....I have never taken a girl home from Playwomen, and I did not care for the new/upgraded Shampoo....I have had more luck in Recoleta in Afairre and Newport....

There is a moral here somewhere...but it escapes me at the moment....lol

If the talent gets better than at Playwoman, this will be a very good club. As always though, YMMV.

Yeah, I think we all have different tastes. If you glance at some of the pictures in the Multimedia section you can kind of get a guy's "taste" after a while. But those don't even always tell the true story because many chica's didn't allow photos or the dude didn't post all his pictures.

Also depends on when you hit the clubs. May had some good talent at most of the clubs. Back in May, I think I saw 5 girls from Playwoman. This trip I only saw one and I thought she was mediocre at best in looks. Try as I might I didn't really see too many girls in Black's that I would have done this trip. Even expecting to pay more. They looked good far away but this trip I got bolder and when they came up to say hi, I'd get a good look at their faces. If I didn't like it, I'd tell the brunettes I was a "blonde man" and tell the blondes I was a "brunette man". Seemed to work.

I was at Shampoo last night and have to say that the club is nicely decorated, but the floor talent was sorely lacking. For midnight on a Saturday, the only girls were over 30 in age and a few were downright scary. We left before we caught any cooties!

Shampoo is hit or miss like all the other clubs. I've pulled a hottie out of here before. Last trip I didn't even make it here. It's a bit dark here too but the girls are usually very friendly here. The waitresses are also nice. It's close to Black's so we'll usually hit it when we do the circuit. I've left alone more times than not when visiting. Usually I've left before I finished the first drink.

Everyone is usually friendly though. The owner is the same dude that owns the Shampoo in Cancun...FYI

Me and a friend went to Shampoo at 1AM Saturday morning. It was $25 peso cover for one drink. It was dead in there. About 20 ugly girls and couple of guys. It was a buyerīs market but I am not exaggerating when I said ugly. There wasn't one do-able one in the whole club. We left within five minutes. They have the nerve to charge more than Black. Black charged us 20 peso cover same as last year. Someone said that it was 50 peso cover which is not correct.

Keep in mind the best girls will usually be in the clubs only during the normal business days, usually Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Weekends are the absolute worst times for finding the top girls in the clubs. Try it again during the week on a non-holiday.

I liked this club. It had a main stage where a girl with a great bod and horrible face is always dancing. And then it had two gogo poles off the main stage where other girls dance.

Re: taking out the dancers

One of the chicas that works there told me that most of the dancers are not available. The one with the great body (likely the one that Xenono saw) is the girlfriend of the manager and definitely is not available.

hello mongers. I visited my first club yesterday, Shampoo, since the taxidriver thought I should not go home to sleep at my hotel at a friday night 1,30 AM. Well. My experience is that the girls are friendly, but too pushy. They donīt give you much the time too relax, watching the show and get in the mood, so after having "defending" myself against several attacks I left. The show is an important part of the foreplay, and I want to choose the girl, instead of being "attacked" the very first second by a new girl when a girl (finally) leaves you. Price was 100 US dollar, but I laughed at that. Second quote was 200 pesos. Maybe 150pesos is the final rate, but you have to bye drinks, which is very irritating. My final opinion is that you should go to this place if you are an experienced monger, but if you are newbie like me, try to find another place. There are a lot of them and the taxidrivers konw about them. (I left for Cattos)

The club opens at 10.30pm, but with very few girls at that time. Entrance is 30 pesos which includes a national drink, you pay more for branded spirits etc. To get into the lcub, you walk down a small flight of stairs to the left or reception. The club is fairly substantial with a bar directly in front of you as you walk in, and another bar along the left hand side.
There is are seating areas in front of the stage at the far side of the room and along the right hand side of the room.
Drinks will cost you 30 Pesos and more for branded spririts etc. I would say there wer about 25 girls working, the standard of the girls is fair, with a few who look exceptional. They wait patiently foryou to call them over, and if you by them a drink it will cost you 30 pesos. If you want to invite them back to your hotel it will cost 100 USD or 300 Pesos for an hour, however the club expects you to buy them 2 drinks before you leave.
For which the girl gets a receipt for. I didn't see that many of the girls spoke english, bt hey that's probably not why you would go here. Funnily enough the waitresses spoke very good english! As you would expect there are far less girls with enhancements than you would see in Black. But the club is ok, and forthe price, you may pick up a very nice looking girl.
There are pole dancers and the odd show, and as with Black the pole dancerslook great, but not sure you can invite them back to your hotel - something I didn't ask!!
As with the majority of clubs, the door man will arrange a taxi for you when you leave, which won't be metered, you should give the driver a tip but nothing as much as you would expect the full fair to be - they are of caurse paid by the club.

I think you easily can get the girls for 200 ARS. But I was chocked how ugly some of them really looked when I got closed to them. The lights in this club is professionally made for giving everyone a lift with 2-3 points on a 10 scale. You seem to be a nice guy, but you can get much better bargains than 300ARS for an Shampoo girl (or keeps the lights off in your hotel room, hahaha) in BA. Look at Andres reports.

Shampoo is now a regular disco catering to teenagers and young folk in their 20's. Turns out this was the case on my last trip but I didn't understand why the bouncers didn't want to let me in.
